SAIL is a four partner collaborative funded by the United Way of Lancaster to prepare children served by Family Child Care Providers for Kindergarten Readiness and Life Success. SAIL works with Family Child Care Providers on topics such as effective business practices, conducting meaningful activities with children, modeling best practices, and understanding the complexities of state licensing regulations. SAIL also provides parenting resources, nutrition and wellness, literacy services, free training, information on other community programs, and so much more.

Provides a monthly Quality Enhancement meeting that provides opportunities to develop good leadership skills and to explore self-directed services. It also give the consumers the opportunity to participate in the policy and decision-making process, while offering training to direct support staff. This group welcomes people from the general community at a small charge if the individual is not supported through a Community Interactions' residential or day service.

Maintains a collection of fiction and nonfiction reading materials that can be checked out by community residents who have library cards. Provides access to large print materials, tape/CD collections, the interlibrary loan system, references & information. Offers programming for youth, including a story hour and literacy program. Similar programming is also offered for adults. Computers, printers, and other electronic equipment are available. Provides professional development opportunities for nonprofit staff. Provides volunteer opportunities for those who are interested in being library assistants. This site also provides opportunities for individuals convicted of an offense who have been ordered to do community service in lieu of or in addition to incarceration or fines.
