Engages, assesses, and combats homelessness for individuals living on the streets, in encampments, and other locations not intended for human habitation. Outreach staff work to build trust with those experiencing homelessness first by helping to meet some of their basic needs (including providing a mailing address to receive mail, food, clothing, showers, laundry, transportation, identification, etc.). The street reach coordinator collaborates with everyone to access housing, employment, medical care, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and other services while advocating for housing solutions for clients. Offers showers and laundry any day of the week from 9:00am to 12:00pm and 3:00pm to 5:00pm. There is a sign-up sheet out front and then admitted into the building into the lobby to wait for the shower time. Coffee and snacks, free clothing bins, winter coats, tents, sleeping bags, and mail pick-up are also being served while waiting.
