Distributes supplies and services to displaced individuals and families of Schuylkill County. Provided are emergency food, clothing, and hygiene supplies. Supplies are made available by donation and are limited. Street Outreach Workers reach out to the unsheltered and connects them with emergency shelters, housing or critical services. Also provides urgent, non-facility-based care to unsheltered who are unwilling or unable to access emergency shelter, housing or appropriate health facility.

Accepts new and gently used clothing and household items for distribution to community members in need. Especially in need of household items, and new (unopened) baby products (diapers/wipes and formula), toiletries, cleaning supplies, and shelf-stable food. Also welcomes financial contributions.

Elementary students are introduced to The Nurse’s Pantry through school nurses, principals and guidance counselors. In addition to attire, The Nurse’s Pantry also provides hygiene items, appropriate footwear, outerwear, undergarments, and lice treatment kits. The United Way has created and facilitates The Nurse’s Pantry in 34 schools throughout the Wyoming Valley.
