Distributes supplies and services to displaced individuals and families of Schuylkill County. Provided are emergency food, clothing, and hygiene supplies. Supplies are made available by donation and are limited. Street Outreach Workers reach out to the unsheltered and connects them with emergency shelters, housing or critical services. Also provides urgent, non-facility-based care to unsheltered who are unwilling or unable to access emergency shelter, housing or appropriate health facility.

Provides assistance for vision and dental exams/ eqiupment, scholarship funding, community beautification projects, and winter clothing drives.

Provides annual distribution of winter outerwear items for financially qualifying children and seniors.

Provides disposable diapers to those who struggle with the cost of diapering their children. Assists with 60 diapers and a pack of baby wipes per baby (while supplies last).

Provides a day shelter with support services for those experiencing homelessness or poverty. Regular Sunday meals are provided. Hosts clothing and blanket distributions seasonally as well as special parties and picnic events. Also accepts donations.

Handing out new items (all sizes available): blankets, socks, hats, gloves, scarves, coats (limited amount). This is a public event.

Provides winter outerwear items for financially qualifying children and seniors. Program is offered on a first-come-first-served basis.

Collects donations of new or gently used winter clothing for local residents in need. All coats received are cleaned and then are made available to anyone in need of winter clothing.

Providing a one day homeless kit giveaway that includes sleeping bags, hats, gloves, would kits, narcan, test strips, hygiene products, and more.

Collects and distributes various baby items including clothing, blankets, infant sleepers, bibs, socks, diapers, winter outfits, hooded towels, and washcloths.

Provides coats of all sizes and winter accessories to those in need. Most items are gently used, donated items.

Offering the Feeding Families Ministry that provides food pantry, grab and go food services as well as holiday outreach programs, warm clothing for winter, and outreach for the homeless outreach, helping those who are needy. Families can get food 1 time a week.

Provides a clothing closet.

Provides a coat, hat, and gloves for children in need, ages birth through age five (5). Donation opportunities also available.

Offers emergency assistance for financially struggling individuals and families in crisis for such things as clothing and miscellaneous living needs. May also offer seasonal assistance, such as outerwear for children; when funds are available.

Elementary students are introduced to The Nurse’s Pantry through school nurses, principals and guidance counselors. In addition to attire, The Nurse’s Pantry also provides hygiene items, appropriate footwear, outerwear, undergarments, and lice treatment kits. The United Way has created and facilitates The Nurse’s Pantry in 34 schools throughout the Wyoming Valley.
