Provides academic instruction to students within the autism spectrum in kindergarten through age 21. Groups students according to academic achievement, language ability, learning capacity, and relational development; and regroups students according to their strengths and weaknesses in each subject. Conducts classes in small groups of four or less, in close proximity to each other to foster opportunities to develop familiarity and comfort. Services include speech and occupational therapies.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide in-home and community support to people with intellectual and developmental differences, including enhanced autism services. The frequency, time, and duration of our support are led by participants and their families as authorized by Supports Coordinators. Services are individualized to one’s preferences and needs.

Shares information and provides support for families who are concerned about the daily needs and future of adults with ASD in Pennsylvania.

Home and Community-Based Autism services are provided to children ranging in age from early childhood to twenty-one, using a tiered approach. For pre-school children, Friendship House offers an intensive behavioral intervention home-based program that focuses on increasing basic learning and language skills. For school-aged children, interventions may include Direct Service Professional support in school, to help the individual learn appropriate adaptive behaviors and decrease behavioral symptoms that may impede learning. In addition, home programming may also be a component of a childâs treatment plan. Home programming for school-aged children typically involves increasing daily living, and socialization while also decreasing maladaptive behaviors. Other individuals on the Spectrum may benefit from interventions that are based in the community in which they live to encourage and utilize services/resources available to all of members of our society.

Provides psychological and psychiatric evaluations, on-going medication management, diagnostic assessments, as well as individual, family, and group counseling.

Offers parent peer support, referral, and screening to assist with access to diagnosis for children and adults as well as services in all areas of treatment and daily living. Offers neurodevelopmental/Psychological testing from adults, evaluating for autism, ADHD, and other neurodiversities.

Offers evidence-based, applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy services for autism to children impacted by autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families, in homes, schools, and community locations. Develops and implements individual treatment plans. Provides intensive, one-on-one therapy 20+ hours per week and service coordination with other professionals and resource providers. Focuses on improving language and communication skills, memory, academic readiness, social and group skills, and caregiver support.
