Providing a membership that is comprised of individuals with ASD and those who love them. We provide members, families, caretakers and professionals with support and information pertaining to the latest interventions and educational practices, therapies, and available programs for individuals with ASD. We also provide opportunities for those living with ASD to overcome social barriers, enjoying group and leisure activities in the community. Our goal is to help people with autism live full and independent lives. Any family can reach out for Resources regardless of membership status. We will always do our best to help find services that are needed. There is a Parent Support Group that generally meets at Graham Academy where childcare is provided. In Home Respite/Family Aide service is provided to supervise and support individuals with intellectual disabilities/autism living in private homes on a short-term basis during times when their primary caretaker is absent or needs relief.

Advocacy promotes and protects the civil rights of children and adults with IDD. The Arc's professional advocates provide assistance and information sharing to individuals and families on such matters as available supports, public education, employment and housing. Information is shared with local, state and federal legislators to ensure policies promote the best interest of individuals with IDD.

Assists individuals to fully function as members of our community with-out twenty-four hour staff supervision. A Supported Living Coach provides supports to individuals in one or more of the following areas: scheduling appointments, budgeting, shopping, transportation, etc. Family Living/Life Sharing offers an opportunity for an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a family or individual to share their lives. Family Living/Life Sharing is based on the importance of enduring and permanent relationships as the foundation for learning life skills, developing self-esteem and learning to exist in interdependence with others.

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide in-home and community support to people with intellectual and developmental differences, including enhanced autism services. The frequency, time, and duration of our support are led by participants and their families as authorized by Supports Coordinators. Services are individualized to one’s preferences and needs.

Offers compliance with the development of the Individualized Support Plan and insuring the appropriate implementation as required by the Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs. Monitors the provider and family compliance with the plan and consumer progress and safety.

Connects individuals, families, and caregivers to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) care through partnerships with community organizations and those they serve. Directs individuals to the proper community hub across the 13 county region. Services at the community hub provides information and referral related to ASD services and parent/caregiver support programs.

Provides supports uniquely designed to meet individual desire and need. Both facility based, community integrated and virtual opportunities for personal growth and social interaction are offered. In addition, the Adult Day Service offers support to promote the continued development of communication and job readiness skills.

Also, helps individuals learn to regulate their emotions, develop coping skills, and improve self-control, Play therapy is often used with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or other special needs. Beneficial for children experiencing major life changes such as parental divorce, relocation, loss of a loved one, or changes in family structure.

Regularly scheduled leisure choices are offered each week throughout the year. Programs are varied and include dinners, dances, swimming, bingo, arts/crafts, special events and much more. Also provides a Fun and Friendship Bowling League, which meets regularly. For children, the Arc offers a five-week summer camp program. In addition "Arc Tracks" presents travel prospects for those who enjoy excursions to destinations such as New York City, Philadelphia, and Lancaster for shows and shopping. We also experience amusement parks, and sporting events.

The Center's Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) program is a center-based program for children ages 2 to 6. The program offers full-day state-of-the-art intensive and comprehensive treatment based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The staff to child ratio is one-to-one. Children who are candidates for Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) including Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Asperger's Disorder, Rhett's Disorder and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder.

Helps children with autism achieve the next level of independence based on their unique needs and strengths.

Offers parent peer support, referral, and screening to assist with access to diagnosis for children and adults as well as services in all areas of treatment and daily living. Offers neurodevelopmental/Psychological testing from adults, evaluating for autism, ADHD, and other neurodiversities.

Provides advocacy on behalf of individuals and their families to ensure that they receive the benefits and services for which they are eligible and that organizations within the established service delivery system meet the collective needs of the client. Offer a Kindergarten Program that features two classes: one classroom that serves both typically developing children and those with special needs and one classroom dedicated to teaching children with an autism diagnosis.

Home and Community-Based Autism services are provided to children ranging in age from early childhood to twenty-one, using a tiered approach. For pre-school children, Friendship House offers an intensive behavioral intervention home-based program that focuses on increasing basic learning and language skills. For school-aged children, interventions may include Direct Service Professional support in school, to help the individual learn appropriate adaptive behaviors and decrease behavioral symptoms that may impede learning. In addition, home programming may also be a component of a childâs treatment plan. Home programming for school-aged children typically involves increasing daily living, and socialization while also decreasing maladaptive behaviors. Other individuals on the Spectrum may benefit from interventions that are based in the community in which they live to encourage and utilize services/resources available to all of members of our society.
