Skills taught may include cooking, shopping, laundry, money management, cleaning, planning and organizing leisure activities, time management, self care, transportation and interpersonal skills. Programming emphasizes individual learning.

Brain STEPS school re-entry program provides training to educators and parents to make sure they understand the effects of brain injury, the resulting challenges, and the supports and interventions that will help students with brain injuries be successful in school.

Team includes professionals who have received extensive training on educating students with traumatic brain injury. Team members act as consultants and are available to provide basic training and resources to school districts and families residing in Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties. The team provides consultation not only to students with traumatic brain injury, but also to students with non-traumatic brain injury, including strokes, tumors, lightning strike, anoxia/hypoxia and late-term chemotherapy/radiation effects on the brain.

Focuses on specific clinical evaluations and therapies, pre-vocational needs, interpersonal and social relationships, family, community educational and work adjustments.

Offers a community-based comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) medical outpatient program for military veterans and first responders that addresses the brain health issues associated with concussions and PTSD. Provides care for TBI and, if needed, transportation, housing, and meals with no out-of-pocket costs to patients or their families. Offers education regarding the effects of TBI to caregivers and family members.
