Provides vision services, orientation and mobility training, and enrichment activities to children and adolescents with vision loss. Offers age-appropriate activities to participants in three age groupings: birth to 5, 6 to 12, and 13 to 18. Provides information, consultation, and direct services to families, partnering agencies and school districts throughout the community.

Offers a full range of individualized educational and therapeutic services for toddlers, school-aged children, and adults from 33 counties in Western Pennsylvania. WPSBC also provides support and resources to families and the community.

Offers help to build relationships, gain new knowledge, and obtain resources available. Preschool vision screenings are available for any preschool who inquires.

Services include case management, low vision occupational therapy, orientation and mobility skills training, educational and peer support groups, access to assistive technology, and Braille instruction.

Case management about services and resources outside of our agency to ensure that those living with low vision are continuing to be independent.

Provides instruction with mobility and orientation, as well as adaptive techniques that enable visually impaired and blind persons to independently perform daily living tasks and to travel safely in the home and in the community.

Teaches students a variety of accessible technologies, including screen reading software, screen magnification, Braille displays, and other computer technology.

Offers specialty optometric and occupational therapy services to help patients maximize their remaining vision. A personalized treatment plan includes a comprehensive exam, prescribed vision devices, and the training necessary to guarantee success.
