Provides Methadone and Pharmacotherapy to persons on an outpatient basis. Specializes in Addiction and Substance Abuse Counseling and Counseling. Offers individual and group counseling.

Supports a grassroots effort to empower the community to help people struggling with substance use. Hosts International Overdose Awareness Day Walk, Black Balloon Day, and destigmatization campaigns. Assists county law enforcement with National Prescription Take Back events.

The Behavioral Health and Addiction Impact Council oversees the Northumberland County Opioid Coalition and Snyder-Union Opioid Coalition as well as The Youth Ambassadors. These groups are working collectively to end drug overdose deaths and reduce stigma about addiction in their counties. Coalitions were born out of a collective effort to address the opioid crisis affecting the region and the entire country. Coalition provides training, public speaking and access to online and agency resources.

Provides screening for drug and alcohol use as the first function necessary to meet the client's needs. The main purpose of screening is to evaluate the need for a referral to emergent care setting, including detoxification, prenatal, perinatal, and psychiatric services, and then to motivate and refer the individual for a level of care assessment or other services.

Provides drug and alcohol assessments, prevention and education, and assistance in accessing other programs and services.

Provides clients with the resources to enhance the process of recovery by lessening the stresses of early recovery and allowing for a deeper and more meaningful aftercare program. Primary services ensure the following emergent needs are cared for: detoxification, prenatal care, perinatal care, or psychiatric service.

Provides intake, assessment, access to substance use treatment and casemanagment services.

Provides services geared towards individuals experiencing a substance use disorder, including education and intervention, brief therapy, relapse prevention, adolescent outpatient programs, women in recovery programs, intensive outpatient programs, and more.

Provides after-hours dosing for patients who need immediate access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Ensures patients have access to opioid addiction treatment outside of normal dosing hours.

United in Recovery is the word we use to promote our work. Each coalition continues its work in a targeted way in each of its communities. But together, we are United in Recovery. Our mission is to bring diverse organizations and individuals together to educate, change policies, expand access and improve treatment for opiod addication.

Provides screening, intake, assessment, and level of care recommendations for various types of treatment. Offers case management support to help people develop a sober and drug-free lifestyle, while assisting them to obtain stable housing, additional education, employment, transportation, child care, healthcare and various other non-treatment needs.

Provides a full range of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention, intervention, and treatment services responsive to the particular needs of the citizens of Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties.

Educates the community about child abuse prevention and drug and alcohol awareness/prevention. Provides court ordered supervised visitation services.

Single County Authority (SCA) for substance abuse services in the two-county area. Responsible for the planning, funding, and coordination of local alcohol, gambling and other drug programs. Direct services provided by the Commission are Case Management, Prevention, Student Assistance Program services and trainings, Hepatitis C screenings and referrals. Treatment services are subcontracted to other agencies.
