Provides counseling and workshops concerning first-time homebuyers, budgeting and managing finances, resolving/preventing mortgage delinquency, avoiding predatory lending, landlord-tenant issues, and tax liens. Provides referral service for any issue regarding tangled titles and deed transfers. Maintains an extensive list of resources for homeowners, heirs, and rental topics.

Provides speakers and educational material about fair housing, tenant-landlord problems, and mediation services. Offers specific advocacy for renters and homeowners with housing problems.

Provides case management to eligible clients for up to twelve months. Life Skills Training includes both in-house counseling and links to community service agencies for assistance.

Offers long-term case management for families who have recently moved to permanent housing from any shelter in the county. Families receive 6-12 months of case management, which includes a housing stability case plan, linkages to supportive services, Prepared Renters Program, and budgeting. This service aims to support families through the critical first months in long-term housing to ensure success.

Works to ensure that all county residents have access to safe, affordable, accessible homes.

Helps very low-income, single parent families in Allegheny County to secure and maintain decent, affordable housing and higher levels of self-sufficiency. A counselor helps program participants to develop and implement action plans which contain specific goals and objectives for self-sufficiency and the steps which participants need to take to achieve these goals. The case manager works on an individual basis with each participant, linking them to key services, monitoring their progress, and guiding them on their personally designed paths toward self-sufficiency.

Provides some food and clothing. We can provide some items for household. Furniture is limited on what is being donated. We do not provide transportation for furniture.
