Provides personal care and light household cleaning for non-Medical Assistance individuals with physical disabilities.

Provides payment for County Transportation and gas cards to medical appointments.

Provides civil legal services to low-income individuals and families without the means to hire a private attorney.

Offers a range of programs to ensure that consumers have access to housing and understand their rights under fair housing laws. Services include counseling on the rights protected under fair housing laws, information on how to recognize and report violations, information on legal options and assistance with the legal process, random testing to ensure regional compliance with fair housing laws, technical assistance, and comprehensive education programs.

Provides coats for children in need. Registration is in September online for October Distribution. Coat sizes: 2T-Young Adult. Infants under 2T will only receive hats, gloves and blankets. Accept donations of NEW coats for distribution to children in need at the Salvation Army office anytime during regular business hours.

The Salvation Army Thrift Store sells men's, women's and children's clothing, household goods and furniture to fund the Salvation Army Adult Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center. Vouchers may be provided in special circumstances. Amount is determined by circumstance, family size, etc.

The Salvation Army Truck Service will pick up furniture donations to be sold for the benefit of The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Program in Harrisburg, PA. (Usually takes about 1-1½ weeks from the date of the call.)

Five-day overnight camping sessions offered at Camp Ladore located in Waymart, PA. Numerous outdoor activities offered such as swimming, nature study, hiking, boating, fishing, crafts, sports, farm, evening programs and pioneer skills (tent pitching, fire building, knot tying, and meal preparation). Bible study also offered. Meals are provided. Electronics free camp.

Provides a food box and donated goods distribution. Emergency food boxes may be available outside normal distribution. Baby formula, baby food and diapers are provided when available.

Provides a 10-Trip Bus Pass for newly employed individuals. Up to two are provided to give individuals the opportunity to receive their first paycheck. In special circumstances, an All-Day Bus Pass may be provided in the case of an illness to get to medical appointments or to attend job interviews.

A transitional housing project for men in recovery. Offers support by assisting in reuniting family ties, with financial counseling, addiction support group, men's group and church support.

Leases Elder cottages (small, separate, manufactured residences) that are temporarily placed in the side or rear yard of an older adult's friend or family member. Provides safety and autonomy for older adults with easy access to family members who can provide assistance. Resident will pay no more than 30% of their income on rent.

Provides emergency assistance for people in crisis. Offers supportive care, utility assistance through Dollar Energy Fund, food, and clothing.

Offers monthly food pantry for individuals and families in need.

Offers information and referral to community resources that provide for critical needs like food, shelter, and counseling and mental health care. May be able to provide limited, emergency financial assistance in the form of a small grant to help with rent or a bill, or gift cards/vouchers to meet a modest, but critical basic need.

Provides information and referral services for programs that benefit older adults. Referrals can be made for services offered by Franklin County Aging as well as other services and resources in the community. This program offers assistance with filling out applications and forms such as LIHEAP, Rent Rebate, Farmer's Market Nutrition (FMNP) Vouchers, etc. Serves as a cooling station.

Participants live in their own housing in the community and receive 3+ months of case management. This may include budgeting guidance, landlord advocacy, education about available resources, and short-term rental assistance. Keeping individuals and families in their own housing is our top priority. Their available services assist over 300 men, women, and children per year, and include the following: --Case management and goal planning --Resource development --Life skills & parenting support --Mentoring/volunteer support --Appropriate levels of financial assistance for rent, utilities, transportation
