The mission of YWCA York's Fitness and Aquatic departments is to improve the quality of life for people of all ages through physical fitness and health education. Programs aim to prevent health problems in adults and develop healthy habits in youth. Our programs strengthen bodies and build self-esteem and confidence. Young people learn the value of teamwork and the importance of safety while developing skills that will last a lifetime. YWCA York offers over 40 health, wellness and educational programs for all members of the family. Facilities include a pool, yoga and wellness studio, and free parking. All classes are available for both men and women.

Services include primary care clinic with some specialty care, behavioral health consultant, medical-legal partnership, a team of health navigators (Promotoras), and an array of wellness classes and education programs for children and adults and children.

Women's Health Services meet the complete spectrum of women's health and include traditional medical and surgical approaches. The latest advances in gynecologic care is offered, covering everything from routine attention to minimally invasive and robotic surgeries to gynecologic-oncology. The obstetric program encompasses Maternal Fetal Medicine as well as Reproductive Endocrinology. The program includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) available for newborns that need specialized care and a robust inpatient pediatric program to care for children up to age 18. Offers an Emergency Shelter Allowance, ESA, to help a homeless or near homeless family/individual to: stop eviction from your home/apartment or foreclosure of your house; find a long-term place to live; find a short-term place to stay.

Provides temporary financial assistance to Veterans experiencing a housing crisis.

Facilities and programs include state-of-the-art wellness center, 3 group fitness studios including a cycling studio, group fitness classes including kids fitness classes, over 80 group fitness classes for all levels, kids corner babysitting while you exercise, water fitness classes, swim lessons, camp, sports, indoor pool, personal training, indoor track, wellness coaching, indoor basketball court, racquetball courts, two gymnasiums, healthy habits seminars, and wi-fi throughout facility.

Offers a free resource for pregnant women. Our nurses offer advice, support and great information on pregnancy, delivery, and parenting. All enrolled mothers receive an Infant Car Seat safely installed before delivery. Licensed Therapist available to assist mothers struggling with perinatal depression.

Provides assistance to persons who are homeless or at those at risk of becoming homeless with the supportive services necessary to achieve the highest level of self-sufficient living. Services provided are based on need and available funding.

Sponsors USDA meal programs for children in schools, child care centers, afterschool programs, shelters, institutions and at sites during the summer. Also supports a network of food cupboards and outreach programs with food and resources.
