Operates as a day shelter/warming center and an overnight shelter during the Code Blue season (November 1st through March 31st).

The Warming Center will be open if the temperature falls below 20 degrees with excessive wind chill, or if the snow fall prediction is over 10 inches. Soup, sleeping bags, and hot beverages would be available. Volunteers from the various agencies and churches would man the Center, all having criminal background and child abuse clearances. Staffing will be either two males or a male and female. Local police will be asked to swing by during the evening.

Provides a safe, warm, overnight shelter when the temperature is 26 degrees Fahrenheit or lower (or 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower with precipitation). Serves a hot meal and breakfast. Offers other supplies as needed. Also offers laundry service once a week.

Serves as a homeless shelter for individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Provides shelter and programs to help guide individuals and families to self-sufficiency. Operates a Code Blue program and extends its housing capacity when temperatures are below freezing, sub-zero, or in anticipation of a substantial snow storm.

Provides a safe shelter for individuals who are facing homelessness and who might otherwise remain unsheltered during the year. The goal of the shelter is to create a safe and supportive environment where the public can access temporary shelter, receive needed support, and work towards achieving stability.

Provides a single point of contact for all coordinated entry housing and shelter needs in Montgomery County. Completes intake for services and provides referrals for appropriate housing resources.

Provides an extreme cold weather shelter for single adults of any gender during county-wide Code Blue declarations.

Provides shelter for men during nights that are 25 degrees or colder.

Provides a weather-related emergency shelter for those who are homeless and would be exposed to extreme conditions throughout the winter months. Code Blue Shelter will open the doors to the community when the temperature is forecast to be 20 degrees or below and/or a forecast of 12 inches or more of snow. Bedrolls, cots, bedding, pillows, access to bathroom and shower are provided.

Emergency shelter for homeless Columbia individuals 18+. Meals included. Laundry and showers available - this is for Shelter guests only - not the general public. Not equipped to handle someone in a wheelchair at this time.

Provides an overnight shelter and warming center for single adults in Pottstown from November 1 to April 30. Operates on a first come, first served basis. Each morning at 7:30am, clients must accept transportation to Pottstown Recovery Learning Center (PRLC), 414 East High Street, Pottstown.

Out of the Cold is a low barrier shelter located in State College PA. We accept individuals with all different walks of life, regardless of decisions that people have made in the past, we believe that shelter is a basic human right. We are a year around shelter. Our day shelter is open from 8 am to 8 pm to anyone experiencing housing or food insecurity. Please call in at 84-852-8864 to be placed on our wait list for overnight shelter. We are only taking Centre County residents at this time.
