Provides reimbursement for care giving expenses for people caring for parents, spouses, children or relatives that live at home. Benefits provided include: financial reimbursements, adult day care, skilled nursing and household expenses, home modification or assistive devices such as ramps and wheelchairs. Information and referral on resources, respite care, benefits counseling, caregiver training, and care coordination may also be available.

Rehabilitates homes for limited -income families. Eligible repairs include structural, roofing, plumbing, electrical, heating/furnace, window replacement, randon and lead-based paint mitigation, and energy-related improvements. Also included are modifications for mobility-impaired residents.

Offers grants up to $5,000 for accessibility improvements to residential properties occupied by persons with disabling conditions. Residents of rental and owner occupied units may be eligible for this program. Many work items are eligible including ramps, railings, accessible bathrooms, and doorway modifications.

Offers loans to help individuals get assistive technology devices and services.

Operates various home rehabilitation and repair programs for income-eligible home owners.

Provides home modifications to help increase accessibility for older adults in Pennsylvania so they can remain independent and safe in their homes. Offers low cost, high impact modifications such as grab bars, non-slip strips, or railings to help increase independence and support safely aging in place.

Provides financial assistance in the form of a 4-year forgivable lien to Indiana County homeowners for home rehabilitation (repair) and accessible modifications. Rehabilitation activities include but are not limited to roofs, electrical, plumbing, hvac and energy envelope repairs. Rehabilitation activities may also address accessibility modifications such as ramps, grab bars, bathroom modifications, door widening, stair lifts, etc.

Provides support to caregivers of functionally dependent adults. Caregivers who are accepted into the program may be eligible to receive up to $600 per month reimbursement for the purchase of supportive services and goods from a pre-authorized care plan. The level of reimbursement is determined on the basis of caregiver need, income, actual expenditures, and the availability of funds.
