Handles complaints when people feel they have been discriminated against because of their race, color, religion,ancestry, sex, age, national origin, familial status or disability in the area of housing. Examples of cases include: 1. Refusal to rent to a prospective tenant because of race, color, etc. 2. Charging additional rent due to race, color, etc. 3. Requiring a rental agreement or lease which provides that the tenant shall remain childless or may not maintain a household with a person of a certain age 4. Failing to allow a service/support animal for a person with a disability in an apartment or house with a no pet policy. 5. Not allowing a tenant with a disability that receives social security disability payments the reasonable accommodation of paying rent at a date later than the first of each month when a tenant receives their check after the first. Produces a series of housing rights and responsibilities materials as well as offers private consultations for individuals seeking to unders

Provides comprehensive housing counseling services including Pre- and Post-Purchase Counseling, Rental Counseling, Mortgage Default and Delinquency Counseling, Property Inspection Assistance, Loan Counseling. Home Repair Loans, Mortgage Refinancing Assistance, Property Tax Assistance, and Homestead Exemption Help. Holds Pre-Purchase Workshops the third Thursday of every month.

- Homeowners' Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program: Provide assistance to homeowners at risk of losing their home to sheriff’s sale - Home Ownership Counseling Program: Provides seminars for first time homebuyers. Certificate presented at completion to help acquire lower interest loans. Call for schedule: held 7 times per year. Offered at various locations in both counties.

Housing Case Management Services helps low income families find affordable housing with housing referrals and counseling on budgeting and tenancy readiness. Limited funds available for rental assistance on a case by case basis for their clients.

Provides rental, housing, and financial counseling. Works with individuals to help them meet their financial goals, whether it's securing an affordable rental, purchasing their first home, or building savings. Also provides foreclosure mitigation and default and delinquency counseling.

Offers a free Tenants' Rights workshop to educate tenants about their legal rights and responsibilities. It is held at TAG's office. Also offers a Court Preparation Class (Eviction Defense) every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00am at Municipal Court.
