Assistance with rent is available for those in our service area who are in jeopardy of being evicted from their home. We DO NOT assist with first months rent or security deposits. This service is not a guarenteed service and is provided on an individual basis.

This funding source may be different from other county COVID-19 Emergency Rent Payament Assistance Programs. In some cases both funds may be used. Offer assistance to clients who are experiencing difficulty finding or maintaining housing. Provides a range of services and options to assist clients in securing and maintaining safe, affordable housing. Housing services include counseling, subsidized housing for homeless individuals with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses, and assistance applying for housing related benefits and entitlements.

Helps individuals and families with one-time needs and tangible assistance. Assistance may include help with rent, utilities, prescriptions, and other needs. Help and amounts vary by conference. Also provides vouchers for clothing, household items, and furniture for use at Saint Vincent de Paul thrift stores. Sponsors a food pantry in Butler that serves over 500 families every month. Food bank members can expect to receive vegetables, fruit, meat, dairy products, and non-perishable items. In addition, more than 20 Society Conferences host food pantries and many others provide some form of food assistance.

Provides eligible veteran households with outreach, assessment, case management, advocacy and assistance in obtaining VA and other benefits, which may include housing counseling, legal support, credit repair, financial planning services, and time-limited, temporary financial assistance.

Provides rent payment assistance to tenants residing in the Greater Spring-Ford Area

Emergency Assistance for financially struggling individuals and families in crisis seeking assistance for such things as food, clothing, rent, and utility expenses. Referrals made for assistance not offered at facility. May also offer seasonal assistance, such as Back-to-School, Christmas toy assistance and Project Bundle-Up where funds are available.

Standardized and coordinated assessment and referral service for everyone who is seeking services from the network of homeless services in Northumberland County. Clients will complete an assessment with an intake caseworker and will then be referred to the appropriate program.

Provides resources, referrals, and programs to empower Bangor Area School District families. Services include counseling, an emergency food pantry, a free clothes closet, and a one-time financial assistance with rent and utilities to qualifying applicants
