Helps individuals and families with one-time needs and tangible assistance. Assistance may include help with rent, utilities, prescriptions, and other needs. Help and amounts vary by conference. Also provides vouchers for clothing, household items, and furniture for use at Saint Vincent de Paul thrift stores. Sponsors a food pantry in Butler that serves over 500 families every month. Food bank members can expect to receive vegetables, fruit, meat, dairy products, and non-perishable items. In addition, more than 20 Society Conferences host food pantries and many others provide some form of food assistance.

Provides usable household items to those in need. Accepts donations of couches, chairs, stools, coffee tables, end tables, dining/kitchen tables, etc. Does NOT have major appliances. Available for pickup and drop off.

Operates a school-based family resource center providing connections to resources. Offers services such as relationship-based support from a dedicated coach, referrals to community resources, events, and family engagement activities, access to computers and printers, community clothing closet, and emergency food and household items.

Provides material assistance to those recently released from prison and family members of an individual currently incarcerated. Assistance may include Photo ID fee assistance and vouchers for clothing, furniture, housewares, and appliances to be used at an agency thrift store.

Contingency funds are financial supports used to assist with rents, security deposits, household items and some unique needs, such as arrears and utilities. Funds are capped at $1,000.00. Potential clients need to make a prior appointment before coming to the office.

Personal, Grooming, cleaning supplies are available while supplies last. Diapers are also available.

Home repairs for disabled and low income Venango County homeowners through a referral from a Venango County Human Services caseworker.
