Children and Youth staff provide direct casework services to children and families dealing with issues of child abuse and neglect, along with the purchase, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of services for families in need of support.

Provides services to victims and witnesses of crimes, including case notification, case management, crisis and supportive counseling, impact statement development and assistance, restitution assistance, victim compensation assistance, legal advocacy, liasion with district attorney and law enforcement for criminal proceedings, and registration for notification of offenders release, escape, or transfer from prison.

Helps reduce crime in York County through professional education programs aimed at promoting community involvement in crime prevention. Serves legal documents on any person, company, or corporation designated by the courts in civil actions. Conducts Sheriff Sales periodically. Trains physicians, nurses, medical students, and other medical professionals to recognize the signs of domestic abuse. Provides on-site support when available to victims at local hospitals. Develops and distributes resource materials which are used by hospitals and health care providers when they are dealing with victims of domestic violence.
