Children and Youth staff provide direct casework services to children and families dealing with issues of child abuse and neglect, along with the purchase, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of services for families in need of support.

Provides programming to heighten young adults' awareness of dating violence and domestic violence and offers tools to aid in building healthy relationships. Aims to break the cycle of violence by providing alternatives to the roles of victim and perpetrator. Provides programs to middle, high school, and college classes, as well as community, church and synagogue youth groups.

Trains physicians, nurses, medical students, and other medical professionals to recognize the signs of domestic abuse. Provides on-site support when available to victims at local hospitals. Develops and distributes resource materials which are used by hospitals and health care providers when they are dealing with victims of domestic violence.

Provides an immediate resource for people experiencing or suspecting human trafficking

Educates the community on the causes of violence and promotes wellness and violence prevention through education and outreach, peace-building efforts, and arts and media programming. Education programs focus on sexual assault, violence prevention, grief and loss, and understanding trauma.

Serves legal documents on any person, company, or corporation designated by the courts in civil actions. Conducts Sheriff Sales periodically. Provides assessment, education, intervention, prevention, and treatment for DUI offenders. Provides education and assessments for underage drinking offenders.

Acts as a clearinghouse for volunteers and coordinates all Junior League of Harrisburg, Inc. funding and expenditures to the community for eligible projects, programs, and services with the primary focus on women and children issues.
