Provides assistance to individuals seeking to obtain or enforce child support or spousal support (alimony) orders.
Establishes, maintains, and enforces child support and/or spouse support order when there is a separation, divorce or a parent absent from the home; accepts and processes support payment.
Serves as the agency responsible for all matters involving the establishment of paternity for children born outside of marriage and the establishment and enforcement of financial and medical support of spouses and/or children. Provides the following services: Location of Absent Parents; Establishment of paternity; Establishment of Support Orders, including Medical Support; Enforcement of Support Orders; and Translation services.

The child support enforcement unit of the Court of Common Pleas. Officers receive initial child and spousal support complaints, conduct paternity investigations, conduct support conferences, receive and process changes in circumstances rendering modification, enforce existing support orders, and initiate or receive and process registration of foreign Court Orders.

Attempts to establish paternity in all cases in which the child(ren) were born out of wedlock and no paternity acknowledgment has been signed. Performs location services if a non-custodial parent’s whereabouts are unknown. Also assists clients in job searches by providing information about PA CareerLink®.
