Promotes a healthy neighborhood by providing activities and advocacy that engage adults and children in positive experiences. Children's activities include self-esteem and conflict resolution, art and crafts, environmental education and theme-based activities. Adult activities include cooperation with local agencies, neighborhood assessment, referrals, English as a Second Language (ESL) home tutoring, educational mentoring, computer assistance, beautification programs and collaboration with the Burton Diehl Neighborhood Organization.

**NOTES** Closed until school resumes. Provides weekly summer tutoring to students entering grades 3 through 8.
Helping the students and teachers, to make sure no student falls behind. Staff will help to facilitate the virtual curriculum from each child’s school district. These tasks will include; helping children get online each morning and keep them motivated and engaged virtually; troubleshooting throughout the day and checking that they are completing assignments; facilitating connections with their teachers during their office hours and other instructional supports, and being attentive to their social and emotional needs.

The center's programs and services offer Allegheny County educators access to professional development, high quality materials and resources to transform and sustain effective reading instruction in grades Kindergarten to 8.
After-School Tutoring, Internship, Counseling, and Mentoring Program for Youth provides students from the Logan/Olney neighborhood schools, grades 1-12, with academic enrichment, job training, employment mentoring, and leadership training. The program operates after school during the school year.
