Single County Authority (SCA) for substance abuse services in the two-county area. Responsible for the planning, funding, and coordination of local alcohol, gambling and other drug programs. Direct services provided by the Commission are Case Management, Prevention, Student Assistance Program services and trainings, Hepatitis C screenings and referrals. Treatment services are subcontracted to other agencies.

Seeks to assess the current health status and identify health problems not identified or developed subsequent to the overseas medical exam. Ensures follow-up of those with conditions identified during the overseas medical exam. Povides referral and treatment.

Provides health education, information and referral services targeted at the Latino community. Offers prevention education on drug/alcohol abuse and tobacco use and provides HIV testing, hepatitis testing and screening for chronic conditions such as diabetes.
