The mission of YWCA York's Fitness and Aquatic departments is to improve the quality of life for people of all ages through physical fitness and health education. Programs aim to prevent health problems in adults and develop healthy habits in youth. Our programs strengthen bodies and build self-esteem and confidence. Young people learn the value of teamwork and the importance of safety while developing skills that will last a lifetime. YWCA York offers over 40 health, wellness and educational programs for all members of the family. Facilities include a pool, yoga and wellness studio, and free parking. All classes are available for both men and women.

Provides a variety of wellness services including case management, mental health evaluation, primary medical and dental care, behavioral health care, counseling, wellness and fitness classes, legal clinics, emergency food pantry, and hospitality showers.

Offers a program of bi-weekly literacy instruction sessions designed to increase proficiency in reading comprehension, math, and digital literacy. Also has a wellness component. Sessions take place virtually and in-person as permitted, and serve cohorts of 25 youth.

Assists people reduce their risk for developing type 2 diabetes. A small-group program helps people with prediabetes eat healthier, increase their physical activity, and lose weight, which can delay or even prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.

Seeks to improve the safety and overall health status of the Lycoming County and of those living in the county by assessing the needs and facilitating a response to priority health and wellness issues through a collaborative data and community-driven process.

Prevents youth violence, delinquency and drug use, and promotes positive youth development and strong families.

Offers youth and adult wellness, athletic, and aquatic programs. Transportation can be provided for certain programs. Provides school-age child care, a day camp, youth sporting programs, and a swim team. There are three branches in York County associated with this organization.

Offers social services to Latino immigrants in Allegheny County and the surrounding area. Provides aid to Latino families based on their individual needs.

Offers a variety of senior wellness programs and independent living services.

Provides wellness for daily living, intake and assessment screening, counseling regarding symptoms of disease and develop nutrition and dietary regimens and mental health counseling.

Offers a year-long community-based lifestyle improvement program for adults with pre-diabetes. Helps participants decrease body weight and increase physical activity, decreasing the risk of the onset of diabetes.

Offers a variety of in-person and virtual activities to promote lifelong learning and wellness.

Provides one hot, and one cold meal, Monday through Friday, to home bound seniors.

Offers healthcare, educational, and wellness initiatives. Services include primary care clinic with some specialty care, behavioral health consultant, medical-legal partnership, a team of health navigators (Promotoras), and an array of wellness classes and education programs for children and adults and children.

Provides an environment for communal, educational and physical activities, focusing upon mind, spirit and body wellness.

This site of the YMCA is located on the grounds of the VA Medical Center. Facilities and programs include state-of-the-art wellness center featuring life fitness and nautilus equipment, warm water exercise pool, free water fitness classes, swim lessons, post-rehab wellness program, personal training, pool rentals, wellness coaching, indoor basketball court, and a swimming pool. Adult programs include pickleball, badminton, and fencing.

Provides disease prevention and health promotion services at senior centers or other community sites. Priority areas are: health risk screening; nutrition; chronic disease self-management; fall risk; exercise and strengthening to prevent fall-related injury; behavioral health and medication management.

Provides activity based curriculum with lessons that focuses on all aspects of health and wellbeing.

Services focus on helping companies prevent work-related injuries and illness. WORKFIRST provides evaluation and treatment, and coordinated rehabilitation for employees, when an injury does occur. Services include:
