The mission of YWCA York's Fitness and Aquatic departments is to improve the quality of life for people of all ages through physical fitness and health education. Programs aim to prevent health problems in adults and develop healthy habits in youth. Our programs strengthen bodies and build self-esteem and confidence. Young people learn the value of teamwork and the importance of safety while developing skills that will last a lifetime. YWCA York offers over 40 health, wellness and educational programs for all members of the family. Facilities include a pool, yoga and wellness studio, and free parking. All classes are available for both men and women.

The staff will help you identify areas of need through an assessment period and will help you set, achieve, and maintain a goal. Staff will provide ongoing knowledge and awareness, support and skills training; but you are the one in control of your own recovery journey.

Assists people reduce their risk for developing type 2 diabetes. A small-group program helps people with prediabetes eat healthier, increase their physical activity, and lose weight, which can delay or even prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.

Provides one hot, and one cold meal, Monday through Friday, to home bound seniors.
