Pennie is Pennsylvania's official health insurance marketplace. It offers financial assistance to help lower the cost of coverage and care.

Offers health care services for Medical Assistance recipients; to improve the quality of health care available to Medical Assistance recipients; and to stabilize Pennsylvania's Medical Assistance spending.

Offers medical benefits including doctor visits, hospital services, vision, dental, and prescription benefits, and other programs unique to their plan.

Provide free, confidential, objective, easy-to-understand information about Medicare, Medicare Supplemental Insurance, Medicaid, PACE (Pharmaceutical Assistance Contract for the Elderly), and Long-Term Care Insurance. Counselors explain benefits, assist in evaluating different insurance plans (including Medicare Advantage Plans, Part D plans, and more), assist in Medicare enrollment and application for financial assistance for Part B and D plans, assist with the lottery funded PACE applications and questions, and assist with the Medicare appeal process.

Maintains information about malpractice liability suits. Pays claims against participating health care providers and eligible entities for losses or damages.

Offers services and programs to seniors, ages 50 and above. Includes: PA MEDI: Trained staff and volunteers assist individuals in navigating the Medicare system and help them to understand all available options. Meals on Wheels: Provides nutritious hot and cold meals to homebound individuals. Health & Wellness: Offers health promotion and disease prevention, fitness classes, walking clubs, and wellness screenings. Living & Learning after 50: Courses, classes, events, trips and workshops for active older adults, including a Senior Expo. Volunteer Opportunities Senior Community Centers: Offer a variety of programs and services as well as lunch-time meals.

Offers health insurance information for individuals, families, seniors, the unemployed, and those with pre-existing conditions, and small businesses

Provides free health insurance navigator services in Pennsylvania. Provides in-person assistance on applying for insurance through the federal Marketplace(Affordable Care Act or "Obamacare" insurance), Medical Assistance, or the Children's Health Insurance Program.

One-on-one counseling, holds seminars open to the public on topics such as Medicare Basics, programs to help save money and Medicare Prescription Coverage.

Provides assistance with understanding Medicare and Medicaid eligibility benefits, Medicare supplemental insurance, Medicare HMOs and long-term care insurance. Trained volunteers and staff assist in filing appeals and grievances for denied services and quality of care in Medicare HMOs.

Authorizes behavioral health, mental health, and drug and alcohol services to eligible Medical Assistance members under HealthChoices.

Operates as a civil rights organization, participates in voter registration, criminal justice issues, housing, veterans and armed services, health, religious, legal redress, education, candidate forums, women issues, ACT, and etc.

Assists individuals who receive medical assistance in recovery from mental health conditions and addiction. Assists individuals in finding doctors, counselors, and other medical professionals, assist with get transportation to appointments, helping to ensure appropriate treatment and direct individuals to services that will be covered by their insurance.

Advocates for policy change, establishes programs and services, and produces, and distributes educational materials.

Support Services and Consumer Resources offers assistance on a variety of legal, financial and health services. Age eligibility may apply. Services available include: A) Financial and Legal Advice B) Benefit Screenings and Application Assistance C) Medicare and Healthcare Options; APPRISE Counselor D) Assistance with LIHEAP E) Access to Other Agencies and Government Services

Offers, screening for HIV as well as medical services for those living with HIV/AIDS. Currently offering in person services only by appointment. Telemedicine appointments are available.

Offers community health workers who assist individuals with securing health insurance, a primary medical home, or referral to free/low-cost care.

Helps with obtaining medical insurance for children with an absent parent.

Provides support and services to enable older adults to continue to live in their homes and communities. Services may include Care Management, Assessment, Protective Services, Information and Assistance, PA MEDI (Insurance Counseling), Health and Wellness Programs, adult day services, in home meals, personal emergency response system, personal care, transportation, and caregiver support. The agency also has 5 Senior Centers throughout the County in which participants can enjoy a Congregate Meal and Programming.

Provides supportive services for individuals with cystic fibrosis and their families. Funds research and drug development, offers care and support, hosts events throughout the year, and provides information and referral services.

Provides information to individuals who are receiving Medicare benefits. PA MEDI counselors consist of both staff and specifically trained volunteers who can answer questions about Medicare and provide objective and easy to understand information on a variety of topics

Provides a medicare counseling program designed to help older adults.

Administers the laws of the Commonwealth as they pertain to the regulations of the insurance industry and the protection of the insurance consumer. Provides information and handles complaints about insurance companies.

Offers adult primary care, pediatric primary care, women's healthcare, and prenatal care. Also offers behavioral health services, health education and information, and social services assistance.

Provides prenatal and postpartum care to women and children - 1st trimester up to 24 months of child's age. Assists with insurance, obtaining a medical provider, transportation, parenting assistance, and general client advocacy. Focuses on education, outreach, case management, interconceptional care, maternal depression, and health and screening.
