Provides a full range of employment services to assist veterans in their search for work. Specially trained veteran employment representatives located in PA CareerLink® offices provide veterans with a full range of employment services, including referral services, job development, referral to training, and referral to government and community veteran service agencies. These representatives help veterans match their job skills to employer job openings and contact employers on behalf of the veteran for consideration in hiring. PA CareerLink® offices comply with the Jobs for Veterans Act by providing priority services to veterans. Local Veterans Employment Representatives and/or Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialists are available at PA CareerLink® offices to assist veterans with job search and other employment needs. Job seekers identified as veterans are matched to job orders, before any other job seeker matches are performed.

Provides information, interview techniques, resume-writing, and assistance with job search skills to low-income, unemployed of underemployed Bucks County residents.

Provides job readiness, skills training, career development, adult education, community resources. - Employment Services: Assistance with resume building, job application completion, assessment of job interests, interviewing skills workshops, soft skills workshops, job search and job placement assistance. - Case Management Services: Assistance with removing barriers that interfere with completion of programs and job placement. Teaches essential life skills such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, money management, and more to teens and young adults who require additional support. These skills enable participants to manage daily routines and activities independently in preparation for life after high school.

Designed to match essential job skills with employee knowledge and ability, the WIN and WorkKeys assessments work together to provide both job seekers and employers with valuable training and information. Clients work through practice tests prior to taking the standardized WorkKeys exam within a controlled environment. If scores demonstrate weakness in a particular subject area, remediation modules and instructor assistance are available.

Assists with personalized job search and development, career and goal planning, and training services. Prepares adult job seekers for full time employment through an intensive multi-day Workshop. Assists course graduates with resume' preparation, interview skill building, job searching, overcoming barriers to employment, financial planning, maintaining and developing job skills, and reaching goals for job advancement. Pottstown Works also offers on-going mentoring, technical resource (access to computers, printers one-on one assistance) for all graduates. A similar program is provided in collaboration with the Pottstown School District to help guide high school students through the process of finding a job.

Provides eligible individuals with career counseling, pre-vocational preparation, basic skills improvement, on-the-job training, occupational skills training and job search assistance.

Provides services to identify support and resources to change lives positively. Services include case management, assessment, action plan development, and individual and group meetings. Provides assistance with professional development, job readiness, career exposure, and employment.

Offers classes in High School Equivalency Test preparation, Engish as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship, and Workforce Preparation. Courses are provided morning, evenings, and online.

Provides case management services to individuals or families who need assistance with food security, interpretation and translation, court processes in domestic, divorce, or child custody matters, finding employment and/or training, information for families on juvenile justice cases, completing higher education applications, and other systems navigation assistance.

The PA CareerLink is a one-stop job center that provides an array of employment and training services in a convenient, easily accessible location. Services include job counseling, testing and assessment; resume preparation assistance, interview training and other prejob guidance services; job matching and referral; unemployment insurance and job registration; labor market and career information; information on financial aid for education and training; and referral for job training, transportation, child care, personal and financial counseling, health care and other human services resources in the community.

Serves as an orientation tool and support group for persons seeking full time and part time employment. Offers job leads, resume writing assistance, and advice on job search techniques, interviewing skills, and career development options.

Serves as a one-stop career center providing local job seekers with resources and personalized attention needed to find their next career opportunity. Services include vocational assessment, resume preparation, job finding assistance, hosting job fairs, and free use of space and equipment (computers, fax machine, telephone, etc.) for employment-related purposes.

Offers to help build job training skills, self-esteem, and resiliency through paid and unpaid work in various programs. Supportive and nurturing work environment. Student interns and those fulfilling court-mandated community service requirements are welcome.

Joblessness and homelessness are two compelling problems facing many men and women in Chester County. We offer a program that has helped numerous individuals on the road to self-sufficiency. Preparing for Independence is a comprehensive employment and vocational counseling program open to those needing employment or to improve their lives through better job benefits or greater income. The program teaches employability skills and provides job search opportunities.

Supported Employment Services assists adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain and maintain employment. Particular to individual needs, an Arc Job Coach will assist with the application process, skill development, and any area related to acquiring and keeping a job including transportation and social skill awareness.

Provides employment and educational services. Offers training programs for certifications, support for dislocated workers, employment-related transportation, and job retraining assistance. Assists with applying for benefits through the Department of Human Services, filing initial Unemployment Claims, and Workers' Compensation Benefits.

Provides advice sessions in person, by phone, or a video conference call with experienced volunteers who can help enhance and develop the tools, skills, and confidence needed to be successful in today’s job market. Also provides free financial consultations.
