Preparing for Independence is a comprehensive employment and vocational counseling program open to those needing employment or to improve their lives through better job benefits or greater income. Helps assists individuals to successfully navigate employment in a competitive workplace. This is accomplished with an array of services for the individual, including career counseling, vocational profile development, situational assessment, job development and placement and job coaching. Job coaching follows the consumer to their new workplace environment, giving the support and assistance while they learn job duties and responsibilities, including specific job tasks and work assignments.

Provides a program that helps individuals in transition to participate in planning and achieving their career, educational, and personal goals by improving self-esteem and building self-confidence. Services include vocational assessment, career counseling, resume preparation and interview skills, skills identification, career development and planning, job readiness instruction, job search skills, exploration of education and training resources, and job placement assistance.

Provides employment services to assist veterans in their search for work. Provides veterans with a full range of employment services, including referral services, job development, referral to training, and referral to government and community veteran service agencies. These representatives help veterans match their job skills to employer job openings and contact employers on behalf of the veteran for consideration in hiring.

Provide vocational assessment, job development, job training, job placement, specialized job situations and/or other support services that help people with intellectual disabilities prepare for, find and retain paid employment.

Offers a four-year, year-round, educational and workforce development program for students in the 11th grade interested in information technology careers. Services include educational experiences, academic support, social-emotional skills training, instruction in software design, paid work experiences, and job placement assistance. Awards college credit to participants through partnership with Arizona State University.

Prepares participants for entry-level employment in the advanced manufacturing industry. Teaches skills including reading comprehension, mathematics, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem solving, interpersonal skills, resume preparation, and using job search tools. Learning opportunities include meeting employer partners, guest speakers, and visiting factory and shop locations of potential employers.

Provides pre-job guidance services and trainings to assist with individual career transitions, centered on specific life and career stages. Services include specialized training scholarships, career assessments, resume building assistance, mock interviewing, access to clothing appropriate for interviewing, barrier removal assistance, employer leads, and job placement assistance and advocacy.

Provides free year-round education, employment, and empowerment services in Philadelphia for youth and young adults ages 16 to 24 who are out of school or work. Helps young people take the next step toward a career through holistic, individualized educational, employment, and empowerment support. Offers classes are in-person Monday through Friday, in morning and afternoon sessions.

Offers classes in High School Equivalency Test preparation, Engish as a Second Language (ESL), Citizenship, and Workforce Preparation. Courses are provided morning, evenings, and online.

Readies graduates for PMMI Mechatronics Level 1 and ACT National Career Readiness certification exams.

Services include employment assessment, resume and cover letter preparation, individualized support and advocacy, interview skills training, job search training, job placement, post-placement retention assistance, and job upgrade advice and assistance

Engages and supports clients while they develop life skills and resources to ultimately succeed on their own. Provides education sessions regarding healthful, economic food shopping and food preparation; personal financial budgeting; and basic job readiness skill.

Provides direct access to interview suiting program via mobile unit in partnership with local job training programs and PA Career Links.

Offers an employment readiness, job coaching, and technical training program twice per year. Training includes technical skills such as design, small hand tools proficiency, and entry level machinist training. Participants also have the opportunity to improve their soft skills through mock interviews and help with building resumes.
