Also provides case management and support services including emergency temporary housing; assistance with utility, rent, and phone bill payments; transportation; nutrition services; work attire; hygiene support; medical support; and more.

Participants take technical classes at Johnson College to obtain industry-specific credentials. After program completion, participants will have earned professional certification in a high-priority occupation and find gainful employment.

Preparing for Independence is a comprehensive employment and vocational counseling program open to those needing employment or to improve their lives through better job benefits or greater income.
