Preparing for Independence is a comprehensive employment and vocational counseling program open to those needing employment or to improve their lives through better job benefits or greater income. Provides a peer-run resource center connecting the public to community resources and Workforce/Employment which includes employment skills, career counseling, high school equivalency assistance and reentry assistance. Also Offers a variety of counseling services and support groups for those in recovery from substance use disorders.

Offers a workforce development program that provides opportunity to obtain technical training. Coaches guide participants through the process to ensure goals are achieved and barriers are reduced. Participants take technical classes at Johnson College to obtain industry-specific credentials. In addition to classes, participants take part in employee readiness workshops that relate to workplace knowledge, professionalism, and long-term success. After program completion, participants will have earned professional certification in a high-priority occupation and find gainful employment.

Provides employment services to assist veterans in their search for work. Provides veterans with a full range of employment services, including referral services, job development, referral to training, and referral to government and community veteran service agencies. These representatives help veterans match their job skills to employer job openings and contact employers on behalf of the veteran for consideration in hiring.

Teaches essential life skills such as personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, money management, and more to teens and young adults who require additional support. These skills enable participants to manage daily routines and activities independently in preparation for life after high school.

Designed to match essential job skills with employee knowledge and ability, the WIN and WorkKeys assessments work together to provide both job seekers and employers with valuable training and information. Clients work through practice tests prior to taking the standardized WorkKeys exam within a controlled environment. If scores demonstrate weakness in a particular subject area, remediation modules and instructor assistance are available.

Provide academic refresher classes to boost skills, employment assistance and job placement opportunities.

AMVETS implements programs for and advocates on behalf of veterans and their families. A network of AMVETS National Service Officers (NSOs) are stationed at VA regional offices and medical centers and provide information, counseling and claims assistance to all veterans and their dependants in matters concerning education, disability compensation, employment, hospitalization, rehabilitation, pension and other benefits. Annually awards scholarships to veterans and their dependents. Also conducts programs to teach children about American heritage, civics and citizenship. Pennsylvania AMVETS CODE Career Center provides asset assessment, resume writing assistance, interview skills training, and exploration into education, training, licensing, and certification opportunities.

Provides the opportunity for job seekers to receive job search assistance without having to come to the PA CareerLink in Towanda. A Career Advisor from Bradford County Action will be available at specific locations around Bradford County to answer questions about PA CareerLink, resume building, job postings, job search, workshop sign-ups, and other related activities.

Provides job readiness, skills training, career development, adult basic education, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. Also offers Allied health training that includes CNA training, Phlebotomy, and Medical Assistant.

Student Veterans of America (SVA) provides military veterans with the resources, support, and advocacy necessary to succeed in higher education and following graduation.

Prepares participants for entry-level employment in the advanced manufacturing industry. Teaches skills including reading comprehension, mathematics, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem solving, interpersonal skills, resume preparation, and using job search tools. Learning opportunities include meeting employer partners, guest speakers, and visiting factory and shop locations of potential employers.

Provides direct access to interview suiting program via mobile unit in partnership with local job training programs and PA Career Links.

Combines hands-on skill development, college credits, and corporate internships to prepare students for success in professional careers and higher education.

Offers intensive case management, academic remediation, job readiness preparation, job development and job placement assistance.

Provides free year-round education, employment, and empowerment services in Philadelphia for youth and young adults ages 16 to 24 who are out of school or work. Helps young people take the next step toward a career through holistic, individualized educational, employment, and empowerment support. Offers classes are in-person Monday through Friday, in morning and afternoon sessions.

Offers individualized vocational assessment, community based work assessment, job seeking and placement services, supported employment, post employment services, post secondary education support, social skills groups, community integration and inclusion, independent living skills training, transportation, financial coordination services, and outpatient counseling.

Provides services that include: A) Job Readiness (resume writing, Interviewing skills, etc.) B) GED Prep and Testing C) Job Training in High Priority D) Occupations (EX: HVAC, Electrical, CNA, Plumbing, Machine Operator, etc.) E) Supportive Services such as: Books, tools, boots, and uniforms provided for work and school, ID/Licenses, etc.

Provides career counseling and assistance with job searches, job applications and resumes. Clients receive soft-skill training which includes practice job interviewing. Assistance is given to clients interested in vocational training and are aided in the process of applying to technical or vocational schools.

Assist individuals with stabilizing their barriers to success and with developing skills that prepare them for employment. Program offers successful employment and personal skills development opportunities to help individuals improve their ability to "earn, keep, and grow" a steady family-supporting income. Customers are provided with case management and referred to other services such as skill and behavior assessment, support groups, life skills, GED instruction, counseling, substance abuse treatment, and others.
