PathStone Corporation - Pathway Home 2 Program

Providing career services, placement, and reentry services. After enrollment program details, including participant responsibilities, are reviewed as well as any barriers the participant has that need to be addressed such as securing identification (photo ID, driver's license, birth certificate, social security card., etc.). While the participant is still incarcerated (pre-release), job readiness services are provided along with career exploration and discussions of education and occupational skills training opportunities. Post-release we continue to coordinate education, training, and employment activities while also encouraging participants in their continuation with any, court ordered or voluntary, mental health services and/or drug and alcohol treatment. We also continue to provide supportive services such as bus passes, work clothing, etc. From the date of initial enrollment, we are in contact with participants for about two or more years.

PAR-Recycle Works - Transitional Employment Program

Provides transitional employment with an electronics waste recycling company to people returning from prison. Offers a supportive environment for learning marketable job skills and a network of individuals who work together toward self- and community improvement. After 6 to 9 months, assists participants with preparing applications for jobs in industries for which they are eligible. Works with employers willing to hire job-ready, returning citizens for full-time, gainful employment. Also offers forklift training, hazmat training, and DOT cards as well as financial literacy and digital literacy training.

Mon Valley Initiative - Southwestern Pennsylvania Re-Entry Coalition

Southwestern Pennsylvania Re-entry Coalition was created by Mon Valley Initiative to coordinate resources for individuals whose criminal record creates barriers to self-sufficiency, through collaboration among agencies in Southwestern Pennsylvania. SPARC brings representatives from these participating organizations together to find the best way to provide formerly incarcerated individuals with the services and resources they need to successfully re-enter society and the workforce. Reimagine Reentry - Multi-Craft Core Curriculum (MC3) Pre-Apprenticeship Program

Introduces returning citizens to the building trades and teaches the necessary skills to apply for a registered apprenticeship. Offers several cohorts throughout the year; each course runs for six weeks, four hours each weekday, totaling 120 hours. The program provides a paid stipend. Support group and mental health services available.
