The PA CareerLink is a one-stop job center that provides an array of employment and training services in a convenient, easily accessible location. Services include job counseling, testing and assessment; resume preparation assistance, interview training and other prejob guidance services; job matching and referral; unemployment insurance and job registration; labor market and career information; information on financial aid for education and training; and referral for job training, transportation, child care, personal and financial counseling, health care and other human services resources in the community.

Offers on-the-job training, referrals for additional classroom training (if appropriate), and referrals to employers in the community who are seekng the skills you have or will acquire in the program. It can also offer assessment, testing and counseling if desired or needed. Training will be customized to meet your individual needs.

Provides a work-based job training program for older adults. SCSEP participants gain work experience through a variety of community service activities at non-profit organizations and are paid the current minimum wage.

Offers a wide array of non-residential community support programs for adults with specials needs including older adult learning centers, vocational needs, and other support programs and day programs.

55+ Employment Workshop: Workshop is conducted every first and third Wednesday from 9-11 am at 150 N Queen St, Suite 415, Lancaster. During the workshop, information on the job market, job search and interviewing techniques are presented. Participants are also led through exercises designed to develop the positive attitudes that are necessary for a successful job search. All attendees are enrolled in the 55+ Job Bank and are screened for possible eligibility for the federally subsidized Senior Community Service Employment Program. 55+Job Bank: This program is a job referral service for older job seekers. People of all skill, experience, income and education levels may participate. They must be 55 years or over and a Lancaster County resident. Foster Grandparents spends 4 hours a day, 3-5 days a week at a local Head Start Program, day care center, school, or special institution and gives tender, loving, one-on-one support and companionship to children with special needs.

Matches eligible seniors with local nonprofits or public agencies to increase skills while earning an income. Based on their employment interests/goals, participants may receive supportive services or training through an educational institution.

Enforces regulations and safety standards in the workplace and administers the Commonwealth's programs for community service by young Pennsylvanians. Administers benefits to unemployed individuals, oversees the administration of workers' compensation benefits to individuals with job-related injuries and/or illnesses, and provides vocational rehabilitation to individuals with disabilities.
