DDS Competitive Employment Program, sometimes known as Job-Coaching, trains employees on the job site, as opposed to traditional facility based training. Employment Specialists assist persons with disabilities to acquire, learn and maintain community based employment. Employment Specialists provide the following services: - Job development - Assistance during the application and interview process - On-the-job training to the employer's satisfaction - Individualized training - Ongoing support - Follow along services - Assistance in job changes The Employment Specialist works on your job site providing training for the new employee at no cost. There is no cost to the employer or the participant of the Developmental and Disability Services Competitive Employment Program.

Provides a supported employment program that works with clients one-on-one to find, choose, secure, and keep community employment.

Provides secure document destruction, recycling pick up and clean out services provided.

Provides a spectrum of community-based and in-home services (such as companionship, habilitation, job coaching), funded through the Office of Long-Term Living for individuals diagnosed with a developmental disability, ages 0 and up

Offers individualized vocational assessment, community based work assessment, job seeking and placement services, supported employment, post employment services, post secondary education support, social skills groups, community integration and inclusion, independent living skills training, transportation, financial coordination services, and outpatient counseling.

Once hired, individuals are provided with additional support to help them learn to manage their new responsibilities and work schedule, as well as to maintain their employment.
