Provides the information and application for dog licensing within the City of Erie and the County.

Serves as the repository for all monies remitted from the various county departments, with all funds kept separate and fully accounted for on a department by department basis. The Treasurer’s Office is also responsible for issuing Dog Licenses, Hunting, Sportsman Permits and Fishing Licenses as well as Small Games of Chance and Bingo Licenses. The Treasurer’s Office is also in charge of collecting the hotel tax in Lycoming County.

The Franklin County Treasurer is a uniquely independent elected county official, directly accountable to the voters/taxpayers of Franklin County. The County Treasurer acts as the primary agent on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the sales of licenses and permits, such as Dog License, Fishing License, Hunting License, Gun Permits, Bingo License, Small Games of Chance License, and Special Raffle Permits. During the average year, the County Treasurer provides licensing service to more than 35,000 Franklin County residents.

The Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement is responsible for ensuring the welfare of breeding dogs.

Collects real estate taxes, fees and receipts, and disburses all funds after authorization by the Commissioners. This department also issues licenses for hunting, fishing, dogs, and pistol permits only when used in conjunction with hunting and fishing. This office also issues licenses for small games of chance and bingo.

Collects all monies due to the county and invests such funds. Also responsible for distribution of payroll and disbursement checks; the payment of juror and witness vouchers; collection of hotel and motel rental taxes; and the issuing of all licenses with regards to dogs, fishing, and hunting.

Offers care of the stray and unwanted pets. Includes: dog licenses, lost and found pets, trap rentals, dog obedience class, volunteer opportunities, pet cremation services, and adoption. Does not offer veterinary services.

Provides shelter and care; adoption services; investigation, correction or prosecution of cruelty or abuse situations; education programs; foster program, TNR program and promotion of the concepts of kindness and respect for all living creatures throughout Beaver County.

Issues payrolls and checks. Collecting county taxes, receiving money for the state and federal grants, and issuing licenses are the major responsibilities. Licenses issued by the office include dog, fishing, hunting, fur trapping, and bingo.

Acts as Tax claim bureau for the county. Collects deliquent real estate taxes.

Serves as the the custodian of county funds. Responsible for the collection, processing, and investment of General Fund tax money. Sells hunting, fishing, and doe licenses as well as licenses for Bingo and Small Games of Chance.

The Treasurer's Office is responsible for receiving and depositing all monies due and payable to the County of York. The sale of the following licenses is available through this office: hunting, fishing, bingo, small games of chance, and dog licenses. Also collect the County Hotel Excise Tax.

The primary function of this office is the receipt of real estate taxes. These monies are invested until they are properly disbursed. The Treasurer is also responsible for the sale of dog, fishing, hunting, bingo and small games of chance licenses and permits. Also responsible for investing county receipts in short term investments until needed for public expenditures or otherwise properly disbursed. This office is NOT connected with the Lancaster County Tax Collection Bureau which collects the school and municipal 1% wage tax.

Bingo, dog, hunting, fishing and small game of chance licenses can be obtained at the Licensing office.

Offers general tax information, mailing address correction, twice paid or overpaid taxes, real estate tax refunds, delinquent installment tax payments, lien tax payments or information, and dog, fishing, hunting, and boat licenses. Also manages the application process for small games of chance licenses (bingo, raffles, etc.).

Tax Claim - Administers collection of all delinquent real estate taxes owed to County and local taxing authorities. Set up payment plans for qualified individuals. Accepts and applies payment. Disburse monies collected to appropriate taxing districts. Receives and releases all payments made on behalf of the County. Treasurer - Prints and distributes all bills for county and municipal real estate taxes. Annually issues license and permits for hunting (including Anterless Deer), fishing, dog, and motorboats. Issues licenses for Bingo and Small Games of Chance.
