EMERGENCY SHELTER: Provides immediate help for men and women 18 years and older who have recently or unexpectedly experienced homelessness. This shelter uses a day center during the day and a church location for shelter at night. Clients must be able to physically navigate the program independently. RESOURCE CENTER: Serves as a day center where shelter residents perform basic tasks such as showering, laundry, cooking meals, making phone calls, receiving mail and messages, and lockers to store personal items. The center also acts as a place of contact for other community services like weekly medical assessments by local doctors, monthly oral exams by local oral surgeons, and monthly intake completion by Merakey professionals. Residents' weekly work with a supportive services coordinator to establish goals, provide accountability with a personal budget and credit report, employment search, and advocate on the client's behalf when necessary. OVERNIGHT: Currently hosted at St Paul's Church at 201 W Louther Street Carlisle. Must complete an intake to be part of the program.
