SHAPE is a Family Preservation program providing parenting and life skills education and case management for Lehigh County families at high risk for violence and abuse.

Provides addiction treatment programs for adults and adolescents. Offers walk-in drug and alcohol assessments, intensive and general outpatient programs for adults and adolescents, individual and group therapy, individual family sessions, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), individual adolescent therapy, adolescent groups, and Certified Recovery Specialists services.

Provides Independent Living case management to young people involved or formally involved with the Child Welfare system. Services include life skills (individual/group training), assistance in developing and completing an individual plan for independence and permanency, and case Management Services. Offers some housing options for youth who aged out of foster care at 18 or older and are not yet 24 years old, but they must be working to qualify.

Offers a 12-week intervention program for males that utilizes cognitive and behavioral modification techniques to help men get beyond the use of violence as a social tool to settle problems and conflicts. Includes sessions on conflict resolution, personal growth, social rehabilitation/habitation, and life management skills. Participants receive a monetary gift card upon completing the program.

Provides day programming services that focus on engaging activities, community participation, and helping adults to increase their independent living skills. Offers transportation to and from services.

Provides needs assessment, goal/transition planning, life skills instruction, and assistance in the areas of housing, education, employment, prevention, and support. Offers aftercare services when a youth turns 21.

Provides special events for teens, clubs, group socialization, 3 annual dramatic productions, Bible studies, other special recreational events and school of music, and drama. Provides community service fulfillment available for court adjudicated youth programs, academic honors, scouting and religious projects. Provides post high school group availabe and post high school life skills mentoring.

Participants choose goals in their living, learning, working, and social environments. The focus is on individual functional skill development, enhancement, retention, and transference to real life tasks and settings. Services are provided on an individual and group basis.

Provides supportive leadership and life skills that will prepare girls for a bright and positive future.

Provides a tool used to assist foster parents in preparing young adults to live on their own. Utilizing the tools from the Casey Life Skills web-based system, FCCY has developed a program of continuous evaluation and planning, with a strong emphasis on the role of the foster parent.

Offers an early intervention program for youth who exhibit high-risk or at-risk behaviors. Designed to work with youth and families to prevent truancy, steer youth away from delinquency, improve school performance, enhance life and social skills, and strengthen family relationships. Services include individual and family counseling, home and school visits, after-school group programming three days a week, and case management.

Offers Bible based life coaching and conflict resolution.

Pathways Academy is an intensive 9-18 month curriculum-based, residential training program that helps adults with intellectual disabilities learn the skills needed to live with minimal supports in the community.

Helps teen boys change their mindsets and behavior patterns so that they will be able to function appropriately in society and return to the community as healthy, productive citizens. The length of placement is determined by the specific needs of the youth.

Offers linkages to and referrals for primary care physicians, Trans competent therapists, staffing agencies, GED/college entry programs, and internship-to-paid position opportunities. Also offers support groups; peer coaching; life skills training; resume building; and mental coping exercises including mindfulness, anxiety and grounding exercises, use of tools to ease anxiety, and self-care.

Provides mobile life skills services to families in which at least one family member, age 18 and older, has a primary mental health diagnosis that negatively affects household functions. Also helps to ensure that health needs are met.

Conducts engagements with the corporate and business community, community and civic organizations, and schools and universities. Presentations are approximately one hour in length. Provides information and referral services to individuals who are blind or vision impaired. This program was established to help individuals secure the support and services they need.

Offers vocational education and training.

Provides annual scholarships to college students, and ongoing services such as books, meal plans, clothing, dorm items, transportation, and housing assistance. Offers programs for youth workforce development, youth and family mentoring, financial literacy, and computer literacy. Also serves as a direct resource for individuals with ALS.

Provides individuals services to learn skills in one’s home and/or in the community. The program is recovery – oriented individualized and directed by the individual.

Offers paid apprenticeships that gives justice-impacted young people the opportunity to develop marketable job skills and reconnect with their community through mural making, carpentry, and other creative projects. Curriculum includes job readiness and life skills training, professional development, and mentorship. Participants develop skills in professional communications, teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, digital etiquette, résumé-building, and interview preparation.

Engages and supports clients while they develop life skills and resources to ultimately succeed on their own. Provides education sessions regarding healthful, economic food shopping and food preparation; personal financial budgeting; and basic job readiness skill.

Provides a safe, healthy and home-like living environment filled with choice, for all individuals residing with them. Features residential services, adult training facility, and educational services.

Connects young women to positive female figures from their community for 26-week program of mentoring sessions. Program covers diction, etiquette, technical skills, life skills and lessons, conflict resolution and decision making, proper dress and attire, and physical education.

Helps youth who are in out-of-home placement make the transition to become independent, self-sufficient, and productive adults. ILP is a partnership between the Erie County Office of Children and Youth (OCY), Family Services of NW PA, and Bethesda Lutheran Services. Partnered services include individual counseling, life skills groups, job preparation, assistance in enrolling in higher education, and assistance in obtaining adequate housing.
