Participates in the monthly breakfast with the Prison action committee of CCU. Works with Prison Fellowship to train volunteers for prison ministry and mentoring.

Offers volunteer opportunities and training for individuals interesting in being mentors and supporting and guiding young men ages 18 to 35 away from gun violence.

Curriculum includes: - Core Program: Participants attend seminars held September-May. Provide an insider's view of Lancaster, its people and its issues. Instructed by community leaders covering topics such as human services, the economy, education, law and justice, understanding diversity, government, health care and the fine arts. Two retreats focus on leadership skill training to enhance personal growth - Executive Orientation Services: Offered to new executives and their spouse/partner and consists of 5 sessions. Topics covered similar to the Core Class. Offers networking opportunities - Leadership Advantage: One-day workshop designed to offer a wide range of topics that support the work of volunteers and staff in non-profit organizations. Accounting, fundraising, board development and training are among the topics discussed - Board Leadership Academy: Series of half day sessions for non-profit board members and senior staff desiring more effective performance in their leadership roles

Provides opportunities to volunteer with UPMC Hospice providers in support of patients and families.

Offers a variety of training and education programs to inspire people to serve the community in leadership positions. Programs offered include Board Development, Executive Connections, Future Leaders of York, Leadership for Diverse Schools, Leadership Training Program, and Mentorship York.

Promotes safety, justice, and equality through community awareness events, outreach programs, workshops, trainings, coalition work, and also counseling and hotlines.

Provides volunteering and leadership opportunities through various program including: Intergenerational Programs and Aging, International Volunteer Opportunities, Leadership Development, Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow, Master Gardener Program, The Pennsylvania Rural Leadership (RULE), and Volunteerism.

Provides training to individuals interested in volunteering.

Provides frequent home visits, drug treatment, organized recreation, job readiness services, school crisis intervention, as well as supported referrals for mental and behavioral health counseling for participants and their parents.

Offers extensive training in several specific areas of service and provides with meaningful ways to help abused persons and raise awareness about domestic abuse. Volunteer opportunities range from legal services, counseling services, the safe house, outreach and education, at the main office, and at the thrift shop.

Connects people with opportunities that serve to build the capacity for effective local volunteering. Promotes volunteering and participates in strategic initiatives that mobilize volunteers.

Trains, certifies, organizes, and provides equipment to groups of residents who volunteer to patrol areas in their community and document and report any suspicious or criminal activities. Partners with law enforcement agencies, neighborhood and community groups, state and regional crime prevention associations, and a variety of businesses and civic groups.

Provides high impact advocacy-based training, real-time coaching, community engagement opportunities through expert panels and discussions, and civic action opportunities specifically designed for parents.

Connects a volunteer’s skills, talents, experience and availability to non-profit programs and agencies that need help.

Seeks to maximize the effective utilization of volunteer resources in the community and encourages the participation of individuals who want to offer their services and work on a full or part time basis without remuneration in one of the human service fields.
