If medication is recommended, you are free to accept or decline the psychiatristâs recommendation. If you decide to take medications, the psychiatrist becomes a member of your treatment team and will meet with you on a regular basis to monitor your progress and facilitate your recovery. You may also meet with a nurse who will work closely with the psychiatrist to monitor your progress. You will continue to receive other PATH services that are recommended by your treatment team.
