Nurse practitioner and Community Health Nurses provide services on STD clinic day. The STD Clinic is available on Tuesdays from 9:00am to 12:30pm, and the TB Clinic operates on the 1st Thursday of every month from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Immunizations are free by appointment only on Wednesdays, from 8:30am to 10:45am and 1:30pm to 2:30pm, and are available to individuals with no insurance or underinsurance. Additional services include family and professional education, general health information and referrals, case management and counseling for children with elevated blood lead levels, health promotion and teaching for groups, PKU, perinatal and hepatitis B case management, investigation of communicable diseases, and follow-up for animal bites and rabies.

Conducts educational presentations for schools, clubs, employers, businesses and community groups on topics related to mental health. Makes referrals for anger management and community support groups.

Offers many environmental education opportunities for youth and adults.The Watershed Specialist/Education Coordinator is available to give presentations to schools and the public on many conservation related topics and district programs. The District also provides displays at various functions, and has a wide array of videos and slide sets available to borrow. The Education and Public Relations Committee presents various awards to recognize individuals for their efforts in conservation.

Offers open-ended support groups, which include educational speakers and literature about hearing loss-related issues. Provides advocacy in government for the rights of the hearing impaired.

Engages in community health assessment and quality assurance activities and provides other public health services, including community integration and outreach programs, to promote healthy behaviors. Program support services include communicable disease reporting and investigation, epidemiology, informational and referral, chronic disease prevention and intervention programs, communicable disease clinical services including sexually transmitted disease and tuberculosis diagnosis and treatment, immunization, HIV counseling/testing, counseling and education, and family health programs, along with environmental health services.

Offers support services to victims and witnesses of crime. Provides information on the criminal justice system. Provides referrals to government and private agencies, and assists with applications to a federally-funded Crime Victim Compensation program.

Provides home modifications to individuals with low-income. Offers ADA & UCC Assistance, Comprehensive, on-site assessments, technical assistance, and training on the federal and state anti-discrimination and accessibility laws. Offers the following services: - Immunizations (all ages), offered by appointment Thursday, 9:00-11:30am & 1:00-2:30 pm. Immunization record must be brought along. Immunizations for measles, rubella, and mumps can be given between ages 12-15 months, others usually 2 months. The following immunizations are offered: DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis) IPV (Inactivated Polio Vaccine) Prevnar (Pneumocial vaccine for infants) MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) Hepatitis B-Hepatitis A Gardasil (Vaccine used to prevent cervical cancer and precancerous cervical lesions) HIB (hemophilus influenza) DT Booster or TD (for older children) Varicella (chickenpox) TDYS - Tuberculosis Clinics provide confidential diagnosis, treatment (including medication), and follow-up. (Will do a free testing for persons who have been exposed to the germ). TB clinic by appointment - HIV/AIDS antibody testing and pre- and post-test counseling. Free, confidential, and anonymous.

Prevention Education and Awareness Programming: Offers evidence based and/or research supported strategies to prevent victimization by focusing on conditions that reduce violence. Primary prevention refers to behavior change. These strategies move beyond knowledge and awareness to include opportunities for audiences to learn, practice, and adopt skills and behavior changes that create environments and cultures free from violence. Education/Community Awareness: Provides one time educational and community awareness programs designed to raise an understanding of violence and victimization in the community. Crisis Intervention Volunteer Training: Offers training in para-professional counseling skills to help volunteers to support victims/survivors when they are faced with crisis situations.

Other services include trained counselors who can accompany victims of violence to the emergency room, police departments or to court. Individual and support group counseling are available. Also provides education and resources on crime victimization and prevention for interested individuals and groups.
