Helps military families communicate with their loved ones and facilitates their return home during a verified emergency through the Hero Care Network. Connects families after an illness or death of an immediate family member, or a significant life event such as the birth of a child. If an emergency requires leave for a service member, will verify the emergency to the appropriate military commander. Eligibility for emergency leave will ultimately be determined by each service member’s commander.

Marriage counseling, family counseling for military related issues, bereavement counseling, and military sexual trauma counseling. Vet Center counselors and outreach staff, many of whom are Veterans themselves, are experienced and prepared to discuss the experiences had during service.
