Provides a comprehensive array of services and supports to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, including support coordination, in-home supportive services, out of home placement assistance, groups homes, and information and referral services.

The Lackawanna-Susquehanna Counties Behavioral Health Intellectual Disabilities Early Intervention (BHIDEI) Program is to connect consumer satisfaction, outcome evaluation and accountability with the planning, procurement, and efficient management of effective services and supports. Our vision is to utilize a holistic approach in partnering with individuals, families and the community by promoting hope, empowerment, choice, and opportunities that encourage people to achieve their personal outcomes as individuals and community members.

Services based on individual need and may include supports coordination, clinical psychiatric care and financial management, such as Representative Payee and Agency with Choice.

Provides supportive employment services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Offers individualized support, job skills training, workplace integration, job placement assistance, and ongoing support.

Provides free resource coordination, training, and one-to-one advocacy support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. The program is based on four main pillars: Collaboration, Education, Empowerment, and Self-Advocacy. Through these, they connect with and support individuals, families, and community partners in their navigation of the IDD systems in a way that meets their needs now and into the future. The three main programs are: * Resource Coordination * One-to-One Advocacy * Webinar Trainings

Promotes opportunities for individuals with disabilities to lead full and productive lives within the community. Ensures that services and supports are provided to meet the needs of consumers with intellectual disabilities in the least restrictive setting possible.

Allows individuals with lifelong disabilities to set aside resources without impacting their eligibility for government benefits such as SSI and Medicaid. Funds held in trust are used to improve the beneficiary's quality of life. Common uses of trust funds include transportation costs, counseling/therapy, medical expenses, clothing, and computer and electronic equipment.

Advocacy promotes and protects the civil rights of children and adults with IDD. The Arc's professional advocates provide assistance and information sharing to individuals and families on such matters as available supports, public education, employment and housing. Information is shared with local, state and federal legislators to ensure policies promote the best interest of individuals with IDD.

Services include advocacy, needs assessment; developing Individual Support Plan (ISP); locating, coordinating, and linking clients with appropriate community resources; and monitoring the implementation of the ISP for quality assurance and modifications if needed.

Provides resources to individuals and families living with Autism in the Lehigh Valley. Programs include support groups, community activities, and informational resources.

Assists consumers in accessing the system via the Base Service Unit (BSU), assessing financial resources, helping consumers choose appropriate services and coordinating all efforts towards service goals. The current array of case management includes administrative case management, resource coordination, and intensive case management.

Offers outpatient therapy to individuals, families, and groups in the home, school, and community. Also specializes in children with special needs, mental health, intellectual disabilities, and autism.

Offers support to people with disabilities that impede employability and assists each person individually to prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment. This is done by offering community-based work assessments, job coaching, job development, social skill development, and behavior training.

Provides case management services for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. These services are provided both in the home and the community. People may reside in a residential (group home) setting, in their own home or family member's home, a state center or a nursing home.

Provides training sessions designed to equip families and caregivers with foundational knowledge about Autism. These inclusive, accessible trainings provide practical tools and insights into communication styles, sensory behaviors, and everyday challenges individuals on the spectrum may face.

Provides academic and emotional support to schoolchildren with Autism Spectrum Disorder in their home school districts. Focuses on individual intensive teaching, maintenance/generalization/flexibility, expressive/receptive skill building, natural environment teaching, independent skill building, daily living skill development, play skills training, social emotion skill building, and vocational skill building. Develops and implements individual education plans. Provides transition services for students age 14+ as they approach graduation.

Offers planning, arranging, and ongoing monitoring of supports, and services.

Provides services and support to learn skills needed to work at the job of choice in the community. Services include job finding, job coaching, supportive employment, community based work assessments, discovery profiles, customized employment, career assessments, and on-the-job training.

Provides care coordination, case management, referrals, and support to children, adolescents and adults diagnosed with an intellectual disability.

Offers social skills development and features a variety of hands on activities with plants, animals, and the natural environment.

Provides a consumer-directed social club. Members meet monthly to plan their own social calendar of events with minimal assistance from staff.

Provides psychological and psychiatric evaluations, on-going medication management, diagnostic assessments, as well as individual, family, and group counseling.

Offers opportunities to develop expertise in the participant's family and informal care network so that caregivers can help the participant acquire, retain, or improve skills that directly improve the individual's ability to live independently. Training may include communication skills, stress reduction, self-direction, daily living skills, environmental adaptations, and socializing.

Providing specialized designed space to help an individual with sensory issues learn to regulate their brain’s negative reactions to external stimuli by developing coping skills for these experiences.

CATCH is an evaluation process for children in early intervention who are at risk for autism.
