A way for individuals to spend time with their friends in a social setting. Offers a great opportunity to gain social skills within the community and provides each individual with the feeling of self worth and independence. Currently there are thirteen active groups providing activities in different areas of Schuylkill County. Each group participates in one activity each month. Activities include: Bowling Movies Local fairs Dining out Mini golf Variety of interesting adventures In addition to each group's monthly activity, there is an opportunity once a month for a large group activity. These activities are open to all groups and usually are activities such as dances, plays, amusement parks, tours, etc.

Provides supportive employment services to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Offers individualized support, job skills training, workplace integration, job placement assistance, and ongoing support.

Provides a generalized early start to job exploration. Assists students with disabilities in identifying career interests that may be further explored through individualized Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) services.

Provides resources to access housing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to access housing.

Offers support to people with disabilities that impede employability and assists each person individually to prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment. This is done by offering community-based work assessments, job coaching, job development, social skill development, and behavior training.

Provides academic and emotional support to schoolchildren with Autism Spectrum Disorder in their home school districts. Focuses on individual intensive teaching, maintenance/generalization/flexibility, expressive/receptive skill building, natural environment teaching, independent skill building, daily living skill development, play skills training, social emotion skill building, and vocational skill building. Develops and implements individual education plans. Provides transition services for students age 14+ as they approach graduation.

Provides information, social work services, and general support that empower individuals with disabilities to live full lives in the community. Also provides client assistance grants once a year, taking requests for certain disability items from Chester County residents with physical disabilities The program includes: - Disability Advocacy - Disability related Information & Referral - Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Counseling - Speakers educating interested groups and organizations in the community - Computers, free of charge, for clients to access e-mail and the Internet.

Offers an early childhood curriculum with applied behavior analysis (ABA) approach to teaching in an integrated classroom setting.

Offers meetings to discuss information on therapies, treatments, legislation, and conferences dealing with or affecting autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Also exchanges information on locally available resources and provides mutual support.

Promotes opportunities for individuals with disabilities to lead full and productive lives within the community. Ensures that services and supports are provided to meet the needs of consumers with intellectual disabilities in the least restrictive setting possible.

Offers children and teens with Autism or social challenges a welcoming, low-pressure environment to practice social skills, boost interactions, and enhance communication.

Provides treatment for children and adolescents with mental health and behavioral needs requiring residential treatment.

A state and county funded agency mandated by law to provide services for persons with intellectual disabilities. Works closely with many other agencies, bureaus and providers of these services. Manages the State Medicaid Waiver Program. Supports Coordinators assist individuals with intellectual disability to connect with various services: * Family Support Services: respite care, family aide, nursing care, home and community habilitation * Residential Services: supervised apartments, semi-independent living, group homes, family living/life sharing * Vocational Training: Job skills, obtain and maintain a job, workshop setting, transitional employment, volunteer work, job search and placement, supported employment, job loss prevention * Adult Day Services: Adult developmental training focusing on basic life skills and leisure activities, community habilitaion, senior programs

Provides residential facilities and educational programs. Offers medical care, social services, vocational training, physical, occupational, and recreational therapy, special education and speech and hearing services. Operates community group homes, family living programs, and home-based support services.

Provides academic instruction to students within the autism spectrum in kindergarten through age 21. Groups students according to academic achievement, language ability, learning capacity, and relational development; and regroups students according to their strengths and weaknesses in each subject. Conducts classes in small groups of four or less, in close proximity to each other to foster opportunities to develop familiarity and comfort. Services include speech and occupational therapies.

Provides advocacy on behalf of individuals and their families to ensure that they receive the benefits and services for which they are eligible and that organizations within the established service delivery system meet the collective needs of the client. Provides advocacy in schools and in the community. Service provided on case by case basis.

Offers weekly outpatient and intensive appointments to determine the scope and severity of the presenting feeding problem.

Provides individual living and vocational supports in an apartment community setting. Provides assistance with preparing dinner, maintaining apartments and personal hygiene, taking medications as scheduled, and involvement in community activities. On-site staff is present from during weekdays and available as needed on weekends, with 24/7 on-call staff.

A supports coordinator is responsible for the development of a comprehensive Individual Support Plan (ISP). This plan is updated annually and/or when an individual's needs change. Provides ongoing oversight to ensure that desired outcomes are met, as well as monitoring services, and support to ensure health and safety.

Works with high school students and as vendors with the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) to provide development services. Offers job shadowing, on-the job-training, community based work assessments, work based learning experience, and discovery customized employment.
