Raises awareness in the community about the impact of violence on victims, the local community, and society, as well as builds skills, knowledge, and safer environments to prevent violence through educational programs, community assessments, assistance with policy development, and more.

Provides free and confidential services to victims experiencing domestic violence and/or sexual assault, and their family members in the past or present. Also provides comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, including crisis counseling, emergency room accompaniment, legal advocacy, emergency shelter, outreach service, and community prevention education and primary prevention programs throughout McKean county.

Prevention Education and Awareness Programming: Offers evidence based and/or research supported strategies to prevent victimization by focusing on conditions that reduce violence. Primary prevention refers to behavior change. These strategies move beyond knowledge and awareness to include opportunities for audiences to learn, practice, and adopt skills and behavior changes that create environments and cultures free from violence. Education/Community Awareness: Provides one time educational and community awareness programs designed to raise an understanding of violence and victimization in the community. Crisis Intervention Volunteer Training: Offers training in para-professional counseling skills to help volunteers to support victims/survivors when they are faced with crisis situations.

Provides mental and behavioral health services to people before, during, and after pregnancy. Helps individuals with intellectual disabilities, co-occurring disorders, Hepatitis C and HIV, substance use disorders, who have experienced domestic/intimate partner violence, who currently serve in the U.S. military and veterans, who have experienced or are currently experiencing homelessness, abuse, violence, and other forms of trauma, and people who are experiencing mental health disorders or symptoms before, during, or after pregnancy.

Provides information on legal options, referrals, and support. Does not give legal advice.

Delivers information and educational services through various workshops, trainings, and programs.

Offers domestic violence support, resources, and referrals. Sexual assault support, health crisis resources and referrals, mental health resources and referrals are also provided.

Provides ongoing empowerment counseling, tailored to individual needs, to victims, children and significant others. This includes crisis, economic and educative counseling. Additionally, support groups are held regularly for adults or teens who are survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment. The Barbara J. Hart Justice Center provides legal assistance to program participants, including representation, consultation and court preparation. Services include safety planning, Protection From Abuse orders, child custody, child support, divorce, nuisance ordinances from landlords, evictions, consumer debt, banking and tax issues, immigration issues, and employment cases.

Offers individual and group counseling and advocacy for victims and significant others of sexual and domestic violence.

Specialized information and referral to other systems and community resources.

Offers support services to women affected by domestic violence and/or substance use. Services include peer support groups, individual counseling and advocacy, education and training on topics like healthy relationships and domestic abuse, self-defense training, and referrals to community resources.

Offers confidential domestic abuse case management, legal services, referral management, and educational programming through a Jewish lens to all who seek our services.

Provides temporary emergency boarding for pets whose owners have fled or plan to leave a domestic violence situation, have been displaced by a natural disaster, or are experiencing homelessness. The SafePet program and services are free to pet owners with referrals from United Way or York County SPCA partner agencies. This program is only available for York County residents. The YCSPCA cannot accept pets into this program without a referral from a partner agency.

Providing services to teen and young adult victims of domestic and/or sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. Programs and services can be provided within local schools and community programs.

Offers assistance with parenting skills, housekeeping skills, behavior management, job search, money management/budgeting, drug/alcohol education, family, marriage and individual therapy, conflict resolution, anger management, communication skills, and domestic violence education.

Provides prevention education and awareness on matters of violence, abuse and sexual violence as the first steps toward prevention.

Advocates are available to work with survivors in order to achieve their goals. They help domestic and sexual violence survivors navigate many of the systems for assistance.

Provides in-person or virtual emergency victim assistance, crisis counseling, safety planning, and legal and other referrals immediately following an incident of domestic violence.

Lawyers who offer information and guidance regarding legal matters, proposed lines of conduct, claims or contentions including opinions on the party's rights, responsibilities and liabilities; and who offer suggestions for an appropriate course of action, but do not represent clients in court.

Offers specialized educational programs for community organizations, schools, and religious groups to increase public awareness about domestic abuse. Age appropriate preventive programing for Delaware County schools, in addition to in-service trainings for education professionals; workplace violence programs for local businesses; and distribution of literature on domestic abuse at presentations, health fairs, and other community events.

Promotes safety, justice, and equality through community awareness events, outreach programs, workshops, trainings, coalition work, and also counseling and hotlines.

Provides pro bono or very low-cost civil legal representation in administrative, state, and federal courts, SLAAY aims to fill gaps in the access to justice within Northcentral PA.

Provides housing and supportive services to single mothers and their children who are survivors of domestic violence, and/or are experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence. Program includes case management and supportive services. Families at HEARTH are required to select an employment or education pathway to permanent housing.

Administers the state contract for domestic violence services, promoting prevention, intervention and change. Develops training materials programs, trains the trainers, and partners with state officials to effectively coordinate Pennsylvania's response to domestic violence. Advocates for housing laws and public housing policies that protect victims and prevent landlords from discriminating.

Provide one-on-one counseling services and group counseling services to victims of Domestic Violence. All services are provided in-person and virtually.
