Provide informative presentations about domestic violence to community groups. Professional trainings are offered and tailored to the workplace. All programs are offered in-person and virtually.

Provides a coordinated community response toward ending domestic violence. Programs and presentations include Dating Violence Education (for adolescents), Domestic Violence Education (for adults), and Bystander Education (for everyone). All presentations can be tailored to fit the needs of a group or organization.

Provides mental and behavioral health services to people before, during, and after pregnancy. Helps individuals with intellectual disabilities, co-occurring disorders, Hepatitis C and HIV, substance use disorders, who have experienced domestic/intimate partner violence, who currently serve in the U.S. military and veterans, who have experienced or are currently experiencing homelessness, abuse, violence, and other forms of trauma, and people who are experiencing mental health disorders or symptoms before, during, or after pregnancy.

Provides domestic violence related legal services.

Provides a hotline, medical, legal and emergency housing advocacy. Connects survivors Domestic Violence emergency shelters.

Educates the community on the causes of violence and promotes wellness and violence prevention through education and outreach, peace-building efforts, and arts and media programming. Education programs focus on sexual assault, violence prevention, grief and loss, and understanding trauma.

Advocacy for the rights of all victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking to be free from harm in their homes, at their work, and on the streets. This includes both legal and economic advocacy.

Offers domestic violence support, resources, and referrals. Sexual assault support, health crisis resources and referrals, mental health resources and referrals are also provided.

Helps victims and survivors of domestic violence evaluate legal options that may be available to them. Through options counseling, advocates discuss the client's legal options and make appropriate referrals to additional service providers. If the client decides to pursue a Protection From Abuse Order (PFA), the advocate will assist the client in filing a petition, setting the hearing date, and acquiring the judge's signature on a temporary order. In addition, advocates often accompany clients to other court proceedings and appointments and act as the link between the client and the courts. The staff attorneys provide legal information and limited civil legal representation to victims of domestic violence. Emergency and difficult cases that deal with custody, support and divorce are given priority due to the overwhelming demand for these services.

Provides students, parents & group education presentations, STD educational information, drug & alcohol resources and referrals. Also offers a variety of resources and referrals for mental health, domestic violence and sexual assault and more.

Provide one-on-one counseling services and group counseling services to victims of Domestic Violence. All services are provided in-person and virtually.

Offers individual and group counseling and advocacy for victims and significant others of sexual and domestic violence.

Provides a 24-hour confidential, domestic violence support hotline. Makes referrals for temporary or emergency safe shelter. Offers legal advocacy, including assistance with filing a Protection From Abuse Order. Coordinates with other social service agencies that provide assistance with health, finances, housing, drug/alcohol treatment, support groups, children's services, employment/training, food, furniture, clothing, and more. Provides referral and support services, child therapy, and the W.E.A.V.E. (Women's Empowerment Against Violent Environments) adult support group, which includes free childcare during group sessions. Delivers community education for all groups, including educational speakers and age-appropriate outreach materials. Provides accompaniment and/or transportation to appointments/hearings, including civil and criminal hearings. Also offers options for counseling and crisis response, with free childcare provided when necessary. Offers volunteer opportunities.

Provides a protocol to handle and recognize the signs/symptoms of domestic violence and its victims.

Provides temporary emergency boarding for pets whose owners have fled or plan to leave a domestic violence situation, have been displaced by a natural disaster, or are experiencing homelessness. The SafePet program and services are free to pet owners with referrals from United Way or York County SPCA partner agencies. This program is only available for York County residents. The YCSPCA cannot accept pets into this program without a referral from a partner agency.

Provides prevention education and awareness on matters of violence, abuse and sexual violence as the first steps toward prevention.

Provides in-person or virtual emergency victim assistance, crisis counseling, safety planning, and legal and other referrals immediately following an incident of domestic violence.

Serves as a point of access for crisis counseling, safety planning, resources, referrals, and intake to the center's Safe House for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Advocates provide one-on-one assistance and address rape, child sexual abuse, incest, economic abuse, teen dating violence, emotional and verbal abuse, physical assault and threats of harm.

Provides pro bono or very low-cost civil legal representation in administrative, state, and federal courts, SLAAY aims to fill gaps in the access to justice within Northcentral PA.

Administers the state contract for domestic violence services, promoting prevention, intervention and change. Develops training materials programs, trains the trainers, and partners with state officials to effectively coordinate Pennsylvania's response to domestic violence. Advocates for housing laws and public housing policies that protect victims and prevent landlords from discriminating.

Provides 24-hour hotline support, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, accompaniment, trauma-informed empowerment/options counseling, support groups, Information and Referral, community prevention, and awareness education.

Prevention Education: Education Advocates provide strategies to prevent victimization by focusing on conditions that reduce violence. Primary prevention refers to behavior change. Therefore, strategies move beyond knowledge and awareness to include opportunities for audiences to learn, practice, and adopt skills and behavior changes that create environments and cultures free from violence. Education/Community Awareness: Education Advocates offer one time, educational and community awareness programs designed to raise an understanding of violence and victimization in the community. Crisis Intervention Volunteer Training: Provides individuals with para-professional counseling skills to support victims/survivors when they are faced with crisis situations.

Provides ongoing empowerment counseling, tailored to individual needs, to victims, children and significant others. This includes crisis, economic and educative counseling. Additionally, support groups are held regularly for adults or teens who are survivors of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment. The Barbara J. Hart Justice Center provides legal assistance to program participants, including representation, consultation and court preparation. Services include safety planning, Protection From Abuse orders, child custody, child support, divorce, nuisance ordinances from landlords, evictions, consumer debt, banking and tax issues, immigration issues, and employment cases.

Providing services to teen and young adult victims of domestic and/or sexual violence, dating violence, and stalking. Programs and services can be provided within local schools and community programs.
