This would include capital crimes, misdemeanor and felony offenses, and summary offenses that carry a mandatory sentence of incarceration.

Offers services for personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, activities of daily living, health care management for medical needs, and medication administration. Transportation and activities programs are available. Meals provided for dietary needs.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program provides free, confidential, and secure tax return preparation for those in need of tax assistance. Offers free tax help to people who generally make $54,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

Provide assistance in finding housing, food, transportation, and other community resources. Other services include helping make a connection for utility assistance, applying for health insurance, patient advocacy, managing nursing care, and the coordination of patient care.

Provides housing and homelessness case management services to clients 60+ in Chester County.

Provides disability related supportive housing and personal care facility for low-income residents with a physical or mental disability that require assistance with the activities of daily living. Services are provided including resident care, health care, meals, and social services along with many recreation and volunteer activities.

Works with individuals to setup a budget, how to stick to a spending plan, how to negotiate with creditors to make payments that suit the clients income, how to overcome adversity to improve life and become self-sufficient, how to balance a check book, and any other education needed.

Assists individuals in the Greater Pittsburgh Area who believe they have experienced housing discrimination (in rental, sales, mortgage, or homeowner's insurance processes) by enforcing fair housing laws, aiding persons with disabilities with requesting reasonable accommodations, and providing community outreach and education. Services include advocacy, assistance in filing reasonable accommodation requests and fair housing complaints, investigating discrimination claims, referrals to qualified attorneys, education of landlords and real estate professions, and building community awareness.

Municipal office

A medically monitored exercise program for adults with heart disease. Classes are schedules 3 times per week and include education.

Offers information and referrals for LGBTQ2+ individuals. Also offers resources and events. Publishes print publication (also posted online).

Provides volunteer opportunities at organized events and fundraising activities to promote public awareness of breast cancer.

Provides in-home and community caregivers to support people of any age with physical, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Caregiver supports can be provided for a few hours a month, daily, weekly and/or 24-hour bases. Builds independence, as well as ensures the health and safety of the individuals that are supported.

Works with students 1:1 and helps them overcome barriers preventing them from being successful in school. Some barriers may include academics, behavior, and/or attendance.

The Caregiver Support Program (CSP) provides resources and assistance to caregivers who are either:

• 55+ and caring for a related child or a related disabled adult
• Any age and caring for a functionally dependent individual of any age with Alzheimer's Disease or a related disorder

The CSP provides eligible primary caregivers of functionally dependent individuals aged 60+ with reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs associated with caregiving, such as respite care, incontinence supplies, and home modifications. Grandparents and other older relatives aged 55+ who are the primary caregivers for related children may be eligible to be reimbursed for day care, camps, seasonal clothing, school supplies, tutoring, and registration fees for school activities or sports.

Provides information about disaster or emergency declaration status when the community experiences a specific situation such as a fire, flood, storm, etc. Informs the public about the status of critical community services during and after a disaster or emergency.

Provides psychiatric evaluation. Offers ongoing medication management.

Administers and develops affordable housing for low-income and elderly families in the City of Sunbury. Participates in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Public Housing programs.

Provides all children living in Clinton County a free, new, age-appropriate book every month for the first five years of life in support of language and pre-literacy skills to help build a foundation for success in school, work and life.

Offers a variety of opportunities that are available to persons willing to give their time. Volunteers are needed to deliver meals, make visits to individuals in the community and at facilities (Ombudsman volunteer), assist seniors with insurance questions (trained APPRISE volunteer), assist at senior activity centers, and be members of the agency's Advisory Council.
