Provides outpatient counseling within the school districts in which the service is licensed to serve. This service is intended to provide minimal disruption to the child's educational day, yet still provide needed treatment without concerns of transportation to a clinic.

A home visitation program for new parents. A nurse makes a free home visit to discuss important maternal-infant health issues as well as issues on child development.

Provides services such as non-medical care, skilled care, companion/homemaker care, and transportation for medical and personal care.

Addresses truancy issues through prevention and intervention services. Collaborates with Fayette and Westmoreland counties with schools, parents, students, and the court systems. Participation is voluntary, and services can stop at any time.

The purpose of foster family care is to provide healthy and supportive homes for children. Foster care is necessary when children are unable to live with their biological family. Foster families will assist Friendship House in meeting the childs emotional and physical needs, and provide daily care. The ultimate program goal is to prepare children and biological parents for successful reunification whenever possible. Friendship House offers training, financial reimbursement, case manager support and referrals to community services, with round-the-clock access to an "On-Call" case manager.
