Case management services for adults with behavioral health issues identified as serious mental illness. Case managers develop recovery plans for individual clients, arrange for required services, monitor services and serve as an advocate for the individual. Offers mental health support services including information/education, intervention, self management and transitional services. Also provides post disaster mental health services.

Emergency Direct Assistance for financially struggling individuals and families in crisis seeking assistance for such things as food, clothing, shelter, rent, household utility expenses and similar miscellaneous living needs. May also offer seasonal assistance, such as Back-to-School and Project Bundle-Up where funds are available.

Provides library services throughout Allegheny County.

Improves school attendance and success through the engagement of students and their families in the educational process.

Provides free training and support to individuals who volunteer to help persons seeking pardons tell their stories of how they have changed since they made contact with the criminal justice system.

Provides food bags to area residents who are in need. Items included in bags are staples such as soup, pasta, canned vegetables & fruits.

Represents residents, business owners, and other stakeholders in the House of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Provides assistance with accessing state benefits and services, information about elections, and advocates for constituents.

Provides a workforce development program for adults experiencing a variety of barriers to employment while providing cost effective outsourced labor solutions to customers, including packaging, assembly, kitting, shrink-wrapping, and mailing.

Vocational rehabilitation services for people with physical, emotional, cognitive and sensory disabilities from Fayette, Greene, and Washington Counties. Apply if you have a disability and it causes substantial problems in preparing for, obtaining or maintaining a career. Ultimate goal is job placement in competitive employment. Individualized services may include, counseling, evaluation, training, restoration services and placement.

Provides relief and comfort for the terminally ill to remain in their own home. Services can include: management of pain and symptoms, provides needed medications, equipment and supplies, volunteer support, physical, speech and occupational therapy. Palliative Care uses symptom management, pain management and comfort measures for relief for those with chronic pain or illness.

Offers a food bank and provides the opportunity to choose refrigerated, frozen, and non-perishable food items. Volunteers assist with packing of bags and loading up cars.

Offers an array of Social/Recreation Events that are adapted for our clients. Each client and one guide may attend free of charge.

A variety of videotapes and DVDs accessible to library patrons.

Renews driver's licenses, photo IDs, and vehicle registrations via the Internet.

Provides education on predatory lending practices, One on One counseling (lasts 2 hours), First Time Homebuyer Workshops (six hour class), local experts present on relevant topics.

Offers a range of services and programs including early childhood education, after school care, youth programs, camps, arts & culture programming, aquatics, sports, fitness and wellness activities, and programming for members of all ages.

Provides counseling services to individuals and their families in Lycoming and Clinton counties, with services primarily occurring in the home, although they can also be extended to the school or community setting. They strive to provide families with the skills and resources necessary to prevent their child or adolescent, who is experiencing significant emotional problems, from requiring out-of-home placement.

Offers private duty skilled home health care and treatments for chronic and acute illnesses and disabilities for adult, elderly and pediatric patients. Provides unskilled in home care aides and other services to assist with bathing, daily hygiene, meals, mobility and transfers. Includes personal care, companion care, and respite care.

Advocates for the rights of individuals. Investigates and resolves complaints from seniors living in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes, domiciliary homes, assisted living, personal care homes, adult day care, and in-home long-term care services. Offers representatives who visit the residents in their homes and answer questions about billing, concerns about a long-term care service provider, and appeals regarding transfers, discharges, discontinuance, or changes in services.

Provides a full range of employment services to assist veterans in their search for work. Specially trained veteran employment representatives located in PA CareerLink® offices provide veterans with a full range of employment services, including referral services, job development, referral to training, and referral to government and community veteran service agencies. These representatives help veterans match their job skills to employer job openings and contact employers on behalf of the veteran for consideration in hiring. PA CareerLink® offices comply with the Jobs for Veterans Act by providing priority services to veterans. Local Veterans Employment Representatives and/or Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialists are available at PA CareerLink® offices to assist veterans with job search and other employment needs. Job seekers identified as veterans are matched to job orders, before any other job seeker matches are performed.

Offers a helpline that provides free and confidential legal information, advice, and referrals. Assists with issues such as bankruptcy, Medicare, wills, powers of attorney, pensions, elder abuse, divorce, family law, landlord-tenant disputes, financial exploitation, and more.
