Provides trained advocates that are available to provide support, counseling, information and referrals to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and other serious crimes.

Therapy is provided in home and community to strengthen relationships and problem-solving skills.

Offers the following at this location:

• Head Start program: 5 hours day, extended child care available

• PA Pre-K Counts: 5 hours day, extended child care available

• Child Care: 6:30am to 5:15pm for ages 3 - 5 years

Provides advocacy, awareness, education, and informed conversation about Harm Reduction practices for addressing substance use in the community with the goal of decreasing overdose fatalities and other negative medical and social outcomes.

Operates a Meals For Kids program ensuring that children have access to nutritious meals while schools are closed due to COVID-19.

Provides comprehensive outpatient treatment for individuals with substance use disorder. Offers services for individuals with co-occurring disorders.

Complete assessments to determine what level of care (i.e. nursing home, personal care home or community services) is appropriate for individuals on Medical Assistance to pay for a nursing home stay. Long-term care assessments are also completed for those applying for a personal care home Social Security supplement, and for other DPW programs, such as Waiver Services. Facilities and individuals may also request a level of care determination. Casemanagment help older adults to assess their abilities and needs, explore options, develop plans to best utilize their abilities, and arrange for informal and formal supports (in-home services) to meet their needs. With an older adult looking for placement, they can assist older adults who need to enter a nursing home or personal care facility with determining the type of residential placement that will best meet their needs, and with securing such placement. They can also assist those in nursing facilities with returning home with supportive services.

Offers Pre-Kindergarten (Preschool) Scholarships to help families to access early education for their children.

Provides a wide range of services designed to work with clients to thrive in the home environment best suited to their needs. Assessment of need is done through our office and we work with volunteers and subcontractors to deliver appropriate service. Some of the services are: A) Home Delivered Meals: A meal is provided to functionally disabled, home-bound, or convalescent people age 60+ B) Personal Care Service: Provides personal grooming help - bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting and transferring C) Respite Care: Program designed to provide relief to the primary caregiver. Eligibility and hours will be determined in the assessment process D) Chore Service: Minor home repair may be possible when safety and necessary upkeep is required E) Protective Services: Reports of abuse can be made by calling 717-334-9296 or 800-548-3240 24 hours a day

Services include:

• Lawyer Referral Service: A public service that connects individuals with an attorney who practices in the appropriate area of law to assist with their legal needs. Individuals pay $50 for a referral and a 30-minute consultation with an attorney. If the individual chooses to hire the attorney, any additional fees and payment arrangements are made directly with the attorney.
• Safe Driving Academy/Alive at 25 Program: Classroom instruction designed for young drivers focusing on decision-making, risk awareness, and safe driving strategies.
• Legal Information Publications: Publishes the Lancaster Law Review, Lancaster County's weekly legal journal containing legal notices, court opinions, and information related to the local legal system.
• Judicial Candidate Ratings: Provides nonpartisan ratings of judicial candidates in Lancaster County based on objective evaluations of professional qualifications.
• Legal Education: Accredited provider of continuing legal education (CLE) programs for attorneys.
• Community Education and Outreach: Hosts Law Day events, a Legal Career Fair, and coordinates attorney volunteers to support local high school mock trial teams.
• Lancaster Law Foundation: The charitable arm of the LBA that promotes equal access to justice in Lancaster County through community grants, public education programs, and pro bono legal service initiatives.

Hosts a back-to-school event that offers backpacks and school supplies, new shoes, clothing voucher, haircuts, and dental screenings for children. Lunch, a bounce house and crafts are available.

Offers one-hour online classes taught by staff from various roles at the agency. Examples of classes include art, Bible studies, book club, cooking, exercise, music, and sign language.

Adult Outpatient Service provides counseling to adults who are experiencing personal difficulties, emotional problems or serious and persistent mental illness. The staff provides individual psychotherapy, group, family and marital therapy and medication treatment. Outpatient Services treat a variety of difficult personal situations, including job stress child and family problems and adjustment to life crises.

Provides services at home and in nursing homes for people who are at the end of life. Offers support and care.

A peer-led support group for persons diagnosed with Bipolar Mood Disorder (Manic-Depression), their families and friends. Come to share strengths, coping mechanisms and concerns.
