Municipal office

Provides the following services for Franklin County: Records all documents pertaining to land records, deeds, mortgages, etc.; Handles the probate of estates upon death for executors or administrators; Collection agency for the Department of Revenue for State Realty Transfer Tax and Inheritance Tax; Records Military Discharge Records. All documents listed above are registered, recorded, and filed within this office.

Provides counseling and group support to individuals and families who have been impacted by domestic violence.

Drop-in center where clients can meet with advocates, attend a workshop, meet with partner agencies, or use their resources to work independently. Partner agencies are also available throughout the month. Services include:

• computer and wifi access, phones, printer access
• housing search and assistance with applications
• help obtaining documentation
• benefits applications
• vouchers for food and clothing
• emergency to go items: water, snacks, hygiene items
• resume building and interview preparation

Treats illnesses such as cold, flu, and sinus or urinary tract infections, in addition to injuries such as burns, cuts, sprains, and strains. Offers sports physicals.

This program provides free groceries and essential food items to eligible individuals and families in need.

Helps a homeless or near homeless family/individual to: stop eviction from your home/apartment or foreclosure of your house; find a long-term place to live; find a short-term place to stay.

Offers COVID-19 PCR and Antigen testing for symptomatic individuals at all of our health centers with an office visit.

Assists blind and visually impaired high school students to make the transition from the high school environment to the complex opportunities and risks of adult living, college life, or the workplace.

Provides intervention, education and other aspects of prevention services in local schools and the community. Topics include refusal skills, decision-making, problem solving, coping skills, selecting healthy peers, conflict resolutions, peer mediation, self esteem building and risk vs protective factors and other important topics.

Provides opportunities for individuals to receive treatment within their natural families, school, and community settings. Services include a behavioral specialist consultant, mobile therapy, and therapeutic staff support.

Offers a network of organizations working to prevent unintentional childhood injury. Initiatives include Family Education, Providing Safety Devices, and Advocacy for Better Laws to Help Keep Children Safe and Healthy.

Monthly programs for anyone whose life has been affected by cancer. Provide educational programs, support groups, social activities, healthy lifestyle programs, and creative expression programs. See program calendar for complete list.

Offers used and discounted clothing, furniture and electronics to community members.

Operates a no-kill animal shelter that accepts adoptable cats and dogs, provides comprehensive care to sheltered animals, and facilitates permanent placement in pre-screened homes.

Monthly support group for any adults who have experienced sexual assault. This gathering is intended to provide survivors with a safe space to connect with peers who have shared experiences.

Emergency Direct Assistance for financially struggling individuals and families in crisis seeking assistance for such things as food, clothing, shelter, rent, household utility expenses and similar miscellaneous living needs. May also offer seasonal assistance, such as Back-to-School and Project Bundle-Up where funds are available.

Offers quality, individualized services for children and families in all phases of the adoption process. Services include family profiles, child profiles, child preparation services, finalization, and child-specific recruitment. Training is provided by Family Care for Children and Youth, Inc. for all prospective adoptive families.

Provides a mix of loose grocery items, focusing on fresh produce, dairy, and protein, in family-sized portions. The distributions do not provide for the selection of items.

Provides emergency and non-emergency medical transport services for patients in Coudersport.

Administrative offices for area elementary school and junior/senior high school.

Offers additional grocery benefits program that provides households with a one time payment of $120 for each eligible child to buy food while school is out. Benefits can be used at local participating retailers to purchase groceries.

Provides library services throughout Butler County.

Provides integrated intake that completes comprehensive assessments of individuals/families for Children and Youth Services and Mental Health to determine the appropriate level of service to meet individual needs. Investigates child abuse and neglect.

Provides food pantry to residents of the community who are experiencing food insecurity. Also provides gently used clothing to men, women and children in need.
