Supports and advocates for honorably separated military personnel and their families by providing assistance, resources, and programs that enhance well-being and quality of life. Provides financial and physical support, including financial assistance for electric, car, rent, and mortgage payments made directly to service providers, as well as construction services such as roofing and property maintenance to help veterans obtain, maintain, and retain housing.

Helps low-income veterans and their families find affordable housing. Financial assistance can include help with back rent, mortgage, or utility payments for families struggling to remain in their homes. Using a housing-first case management model, UESF provides services including housing acquisition and landlord negotiation, VA benefit assistance, mainstream benefits, legal assistance referrals, self-sufficiency education, and temporary financial assistance when needed.

Assists with rent, utility bills, clothing, medical bills, and other necessities. This assistance may include emergency service delivery and/or referrals/consultations to other agencies or organizations with the means to solve the problem. No funds are given to individuals - instead, all payments are made directly to landlords and other vendors.

• Emergency Housing Assistance (EHA) will provide one month rent/security deposit to individuals who are in danger of eviction or homelessness. Individuals must meet eligibility and affordability guidelines and requirements and may receive assistance only one time.

*Other Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Services in the form of security/utility deposits, first month rent, rental arrears, or current month's rent are also available to individuals experiencing a hardship that are either "homeless" or at "risk of homelessness". Some income, eligibility, residency, and affordability guidelines and requirements exist and can vary by program.

Provides rental assistance and weekly case management for single homeless women with families where someone in the household has a permanent disability. Individuals in the program pay a portion of rent based on income and have set goals. Participants are financially assisted until they receive a Section 8 voucher, public housing, or a change in income allowing for self-sufficiency.

For those who are homeless or near homeless, funding for eligible individuals to use to pay the first and last month's rent in order to maintain current housing or obtain new housing. Could also help pay for other financial expenses that, without the support, might lead to homelessness, including security deposits, utility assistance or transportation. Eligibility for the Home4Good funding is based on income and prioritized based on vulnerability.

Provides rental assistance for those experiencing a hardship or unexpected financial difficulty. May be able to assist with move-in fees if the new residence is located within our serviceable area.

Helps a homeless or near homeless family/individual to: stop eviction from your home/apartment or foreclosure of your house; find a long-term place to live; find a short-term place to stay. Provides a one-time payment up to $400 to prevent eviction or $100-$300 to obtain temporary or permanent shelter. There is no monthly rental assistance or subsidy available. Need must be the result of an emergency such as eviction, living in hazardous conditions, homeless or near homeless. If more funds are owed than CAO can offer are required to prevent or resolve the emergency, the applicant must have another way to pay the remainder due. The individual or family must have sufficient income to afford future rent. Items are verified with landlord/employer, etc.

Section 8 rental assistance available to qualified applicants. The participants in the program must be below 50% of the median income in each county to qualify. The program will contribute the difference between 30% of eligible tenants' income and their gross rent (rent and utilities.)

The program provides security deposit and first month's rent, as well as a number of months of rental assistance for qualified households experiencing homelessness. Clients secure their own lease.

Provides connections permanent housing through a use of time-limited financial assistance and supportive services. Can assist with first month's rent, deposit, short rental subsidy (1-3 months), and medium rental subsidy (3-6 months).

Offers free legal help for low-income and vulnerable residents. Services may include bankruptcy, debt relief, consumer law, child custody and dependency issues, disaster legal aid, elder law, expungements, pardons, and record sealing. May also cover government benefits issues concerning Unemployment Compensation, SSI, SSDI, TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), SNAP (food stamps), Medical Assistance (Medicaid), and Child Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Housing issues such as landlord-tenant, eviction, habitability, public or subsidized housing, rent-to-own, homeownership, mortgage foreclosure, property tax sales, reverse mortgages, and tangled title; utility problems, and veterans benefits and discharge upgrades.
