Includes a benefit amount of $100.00 towards the burial and $50.00 towards the installation of the headstone/marker. Supplies flag holders and flags for cemetery plots of deceased wartime veterans, which are placed at the grave at the time of burial.

Partners with PPL Electric Utilities, UGI Utilities, Aqua Pennsylvania and Pennsylvania American Water to helps community residents become more energy efficient, save money on utility bills and access customer assistance programs.

Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. is a federal and state funded early childhood education program that focuses on promoting the school readiness of eligible children ages 3 to 5 through family involvement, health and nutrition, education and family social services. The Head Start program is designed to increase children’s literacy, cognitive development, and social-emotional development, as well as support children’s health and well-being. Children receive vision, hearing and lead screenings on-site and are provided with a nutritious breakfast and lunch daily.

Magisterial district judges are nominated by the Governor and confirmed by the state Senate. This Magisterial District covers the boroughs of Alba, Canton, Sylvania and Troy as well as the townships of Armenia, Canton, Granville, Leroy, Ridgebury, Smithfield, South Creek, Springfield, Troy, Wells and West Burlington.
