Matches local children with an adult friend to serve as a mentor through one-to-one time together. Provides individualized goal plans for each child, as well as professional staff support for volunteers, parents, and children.

Pet visits take place at nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, senior centers, behavioral health centers, group homes, social service day programs, crisis response centers, and day enrichment programs. Pet Visits can take place in either a group setting, or visiting individual residents in their bedrooms. All visits are one hour in length.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits are used to buy food and help eligible low-income households in Pennsylvania obtain more nutritious diets by increasing their food purchasing power at grocery stores and supermarkets.

Collaborates with City of Philadelphia officials to provide valuable services and resources to homeowners and residents in the community during a once a year event. Some of the partnering agencies and organizations include: Vital Records, Philadelphia Water Department (PWD), Philadelphia Energy Company (PECO), Philadelphia Gas Works (PGW), the Streets Department and much more.

Recruits, screens, trains, and supervises volunteer advocates who are then appointed by the Juvenile Judge to advocate for the best interests of abused and/or neglected children. Offers services that may include: Advocating for abused and/or neglected children involved in dependency court proceedings; Independently investigating facts of the case for the court; Making recommendations to the court based on case facts and information gathered; Monitors court orders to ensure services are provided to and utilized by the child and family; Attending all meetings and court proceedings.

Provides replacement benefits for individuals and families who had food lost or destroyed in a household disaster (storm, fire, power outage, etc.).

Also offers intensive case management support to all students in an effort to remediate barriers that may negatively impact graduation success and prevent family crisis situations.

Provides planning guides, applications and information to receive financial benefits, and a link to receive temporary emergency financial assistance for Veterans residing in Pennsylvania.

Services include:

• Development and enforcement of OSHA regulations in places of private & federal employment
• Investigation of all complaints involving safety and health hazards at places of employment both private and federal
• Has a contract with Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Safety Sciences Department to provide free on-site consultations to private employers at their request
• Also has a resource center on occupational safety and health, which includes written and audio visual materials

Working Papers: Any student 14-17 years old, prior to high school graduation, must have working papers for employment. Applications are taken at school district administration offices. The student does not have to be present to obtain the papers, parents can fill out the paperwork. To obtain working papers, a copy of the student's birth certificate must be taken to the school administration office. Call local school district for information on location and office hours. Summer Enrichment (Vacation Education): Some schools in the County offer non-credit enrichment courses over the summer break. These courses are designed to broaden the students experiences, keep minds and imaginations active, and offer peer interaction. Subjects that may be offered include: computers, cartooning, music, babysitting, chess, foreign languages, photography, etc. Some schools offer school social worker services.

Provides a free, hot, nutritious meal daily. Volunteers welcomed.

Fitness classes include: Body Fit, Zumba, Line Dancing, Silver Sneakers, Yoga, Spin, and Pilates.
