• Before/after-school child care

Administers the state's charitable solicitation law.

Establish and enforce health, safety and program standards for foster homes, review applications for licenses, issue or deny licenses, inspect facilities for compliance and revoke licenses or bring disciplinary action for noncompliance.

Represents residents, business owners, and other stakeholders in the House of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Provides assistance with accessing state benefits and services, information about elections, and advocates for constituents.

Provides cooling centers during Code Red heat advisories.

Open as a warming shelter. If in need of a place to stay warm while having furnace work or any other reasons for a few hours.

Offers peer recovery support services called mentoring. Mentors provide wellness and recovery coaching, helping to connect men and women to community-based health and human services and to the recovering community. These services are also available to high risk women, including those who are pregnant, homeless, or victims of violence. Most referrals to this program come from CYF, but anyone with a substance use or co-occurring disorder in need of mentoring is eligible.

Provides money to help: Pregnant women; Dependent children and their parents who live with them; Dependent children and other relatives who live with them and care for them.

This program provides free groceries and essential food items to eligible individuals and families in need.

Immunization clinic for Wilkes-Barre City Residents.

Assists people reduce their risk for developing type 2 diabetes. A small-group program helps people with prediabetes eat healthier, increase their physical activity, and lose weight, which can delay or even prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes.

Offers the opportunity for older adults to refresh driving techniques, regain lost confidence, and develop a positive driving attitude either online or in the classroom.

Provides a single point-of-contact for families, early learning service providers and communities to gain information and access services that support high-quality child care and early learning programs.

Provides homemaker assistance services such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
