In case of homelessness, when there are no other options, a motel voucher will be provided for a one or two night stay at a local motel. Applicants must agree to return to Service Access and Management for long term housing planning and assistance. In cases where children are involved, Service Access and Management, Inc. will immediately report the case to Children and Youth Services prior to issuing a motel voucher.
Provides emergency assistance such as help with food, rent, heating fuel and utilities on a case by case basis contingent upon available funds. Will connect with other county agencies/programs as funds are limited.

Provides emergency assistance with homelessness due to eviction, natural disaster, loss of job, fire, etc. Hotel vouchers issued are for Granny's Hotel in Frackville and Main Stay Suites in Barnesville. Transportation will be provided if available to the hotel or to an agency that can better assist you.

Provides a one (1) month mortgage or a one (1) month metered utility payment or vendor minimum delivery amount of a non-metered utility (wood, oil or propane if the primary heat source). This service may also allow for hotel/motel vouchers in order to provide shelter to homeless individuals. Sullivan County households can be assisted once a year through this program while funds are available and on a first come first serve basis.

As Council funds permit, heat and utilities aid is available and can be provided on a one time basis to any resident family or individual faced with a crisis or tragedy who are unable to make payment. Contact information to secure an application may be accessed from any affiliated church pastor or at Schuylkill Haven Borough Hall. Likewise, pass through travelers incurring an emergency may inquire from the Schuylkill Haven or PA State Police about overnight lodging and food.
