Offers home modification services for individuals with disabilities to allow them to remain in their own homes. Advocates on behalf of individuals with landlords regarding modifications, and assists with identifying and evaluating contractors and funding sources for modifications.

Program designs and constructs accessibility modifications for homeowners and tenants, making it possible for individuals with disabilities to remain in their own homes. Items such as wheelchair ramps, accessible bathrooms, lifts, stair glides, widened doors and hallways, and both hearing and visual accommodations are installed by the program. The program cannot perform repairs.

Energy conservation measures are installed to homes for utility customers experiencing high kilowatt usage. Energy education services are also provided. For West Penn Power and Penelec customers only.

Provides home repair and maintenance services for low-income older adults, single parents, veterans, and disabled homeowners to increase the safety, accessibility, and affordability of housing. Offers repair services for minor plumbing, painting, sheetrock, carpentry, handiwork, and other property maintenance. Assists with post-disaster cleanup.

Sells and installs elevators, wheelchair lifts, and other devices to improve the accessibility of residences and businesses.

Provides consultation, evaluation, and treatment for a variety of issues that can impact emotional health and well-being. Services and supporting programs offered at the Coatesville Medical Center include: Community Residential Care, Mental Health Outpatient Clinic, Inpatient Psychiatry, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder treatment, Substance Abuse Treatment Drug/Alcohol, Domiciliary Care, and a Work Restoration program. We also provide outreach to homeless veterans.The Social Work program also offers counseling to veterans with drug, alcohol, and emotional problems, to help veterans and their families understand and adjust to an illness or disability, to veterans and family members who want to prepare advance directives and durable powers of attorney for health care or finances, to help veterans and their families cope with terminal illness,and to family members about legal issues such as commitment and guardianship.

Offers low cost, high impact modifications such as grab bars, non-slip strips, or railings to help increase independence and support safely aging in place.

Provides accessible ramps for those who need them to safely come and go from their homes. Ramps are constructed using a modular design that allows them to be reclaimed when no longer needed and reused to help meet new needs.

Provides persons with disabilities that reside in their own residence or the home of the family with home and community habilitation, companion, respite, camps, home and vehicle adaptation.

Helps older adults remain safe and independent in their homes and in the community. Provides non-medical and volunteer caregiving services including in-home visits, grocery shopping and errands, transportation and escorting to medical appointments, telephone reassurance, and home safety checks.
