Schedules sheriff sales of real estate or personal property, applications for gun permits, and service of court papers.

Provides law enforcement for Washington County. Office issues and renews gun permits.

Department is the Tax Collector of County real estates taxes. Office also issues licenses for dogs, small games of chance, Bingo, sportsmen's pistols, hunting, and fishing.

Provides various services including to serve and enforce all orders of the court, courthouse policing, transporting prisoners, arrest violators of the law and fugitives, serve and enforce protection orders, conduct levies sales of personal property and real estate, issues concealed weapons permits and licenses to sell firearms.

Responsible for all county monies, and physically handles all income and disbursements. Services include investment of county funds, agent for Commonwealth selling dog, hunting, fishing and sportsmen pistol permits. Provides small games of chance and bingo licenses. Acts as Tax claim bureau for the county. Collects deliquent real estate taxes.

Operates the local sheriff's office. Conducts the following public safety programs: Business security, Firearms safety, and Senior Citizen Protection.

To transport prisoners to and from county, state, and federal institutions for court appearances . To arrest violators of the law and fugitives . To assist other law-enforcement agencies in the county . To assist in special law-enforcement efforts such as Central Booking, DUI roving and saturations patrols, and community events . To issue Pennsylvania License to Carry Firearms and Licenses to Sell Firearms. Fingerprinting sevice is available by appointment -fee for service.
