Literacy Council of Lancaster-Lebanon - Literacy Council of Lancaster-Lebanon

Provides free, one-to-one, small group and large group instruction in reading, writing, math or English as a Second Language to adults who wish to improve basic skills. Tutoring sessions may be held at any public location such as a library, church, community center, or recreation hall. Offers GED Prep classes in Elizabethtown and Columbia. Scholarships are available to pay for each of the tests. Contact Jane Myers at 717-297-5523. English for Speakers of Other Languages new student orientation every Thursday at 11:00am and 3:00pm.

La Comunidad Hispana - Educational Programs

GED classes help lower education adults study for their GED exams, with individual support as needed. GED classes are free to students. Citizenship classes prepare students for the citizenship exam and help them understand their rights and responsibilities as new U.S. citizens. The classes are held one hour a week. Student decides the hour. LCH's social assistance team provides individualized workforce development support to our clients seeking to gain new employment or find a better job. This assistance can be accessed by making an appointment to see any member of our social assistance team any hours LCH is open. This service is also free of charge.

Provides money management, budgeting classes: dealing with debt and bad credit, tips on spending and saving.
