State Early Intervention provides services to three- to five-year-old children with special needs. The Bucks IU also provides educational services to the children in institutional facilities located in Bucks County.
Additionally, the Bucks IU provides Adult Programs and Services for individuals with disabilities over the age of 21.

Home/Community Based Developmental Disabilities Programs
Provides educational services like teaching and testing, as well as assistance with children.s re-entry to their home school to children who are patients at Janet Weis Children's Hospital. School is staffed by a state-certified teacher employed by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. Teacher maintains a connection with each child's home school teacher to get information about assignments, the child's educational history, and to be sure the child receives credit for attendance and assignments he/she completes while at the Hospital School. The teacher will also suggest services and activities that will aid in the child's return to school.
The Hospital School is located on the third floor of Geisinger's Janet Weis Children's Hospital. Services are also provided at your child's bedside when needed.
