Provides residential facilities and educational programs. Offers medical care, social services, vocational training, physical, occupational, and recreational therapy, special education and speech and hearing services. Operates community group homes, family living programs, and home-based support services.

Provides educational programs for students with special needs throughout Bucks County. Programs include the delivery of itinerant and classroom services to students with disabilities. State Early Intervention provides services to three- to five-year-old children with special needs. The Bucks IU also provides educational services to the children in institutional facilities located in Bucks County. Additionally, the Bucks IU provides Adult Programs and Services for individuals with disabilities over the age of 21.

All of the public schools of Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 (LIU), 368 Tioga Ave,. Kingston, Pennsylvania provides special education and related service to resident children with disabilities who are ages three through twenty-one. Services ensure that children with disabilities are educated to the maximum extent appropriate in the regular education environment, and that the instruction they receive conforms as much as possible to the instruction that non-disabled students receive.

Provide special assistance for students with visual, hearing, physical, emotional, learning or other disabilities who might be prevented from obtaining an education without access to support services.

Staff work with families and teachers to foster emotional growth Speech and Language Support Services - itinerant speech and language services for children needing support to improve their speech

Provides services to people with autism and their families include: strategy development to support behaviors in the home,the community and the classroom; training, consultation, and support for toddlers and families in their homes;

Provides educational services like teaching and testing, as well as assistance with children.s re-entry to their home school to children who are patients at Janet Weis Children's Hospital. School is staffed by a state-certified teacher employed by the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit. Teacher maintains a connection with each child's home school teacher to get information about assignments, the child's educational history, and to be sure the child receives credit for attendance and assignments he/she completes while at the Hospital School. The teacher will also suggest services and activities that will aid in the child's return to school. The Hospital School is located on the third floor of Geisinger's Janet Weis Children's Hospital. Services are also provided at your child's bedside when needed.
