Hosts a weekly community cookout providing food, games, and activities for the community at Jefferson Park.

In collaboration with schools, daycare centers, congregations and institutions, JFCS offers services such as educational programs, parenting classes, peer mediation and trainings to provide youth and teens with skills and coping mechanisms to manage the myriad challenges of childhood, adolescence and parenting.

Provides one-to-one youth mentoring programs. Professionally screened and trained volunteers provide guidance, mentoring, and friendship to children. Programs help children become more confident, make healthy decisions, and achieve their fullest potential in life.

Offers hands-on exhibits, educational programs, and interactive displays that teach visitors about various weather phenomena, forecasting techniques, and the science behind meteorology.

Offers monthly activities including roller skating, attending Hershey Park, game nights, bowling, and more. On Gym Night, youth and staff go to Faith Gym for an evening of learning, games, and crafts.

Provides public library services including book, DVD, and magazine loan. Also offers summer programs.

Maintains a collection of fiction and nonfiction reading materials that can be checked out by community residents who have library cards. Provides access to large print materials, tape/CD collections, the interlibrary loan system, references & information. Offers programming for youth, including a story hour and literacy program. Similar programming is also offered for adults. Computers, printers, and other electronic equipment are available. Provides professional development opportunities for nonprofit staff. Provides volunteer opportunities for those who are interested in being library assistants. This site also provides opportunities for individuals convicted of an offense who have been ordered to do community service in lieu of or in addition to incarceration or fines.

If a child is enrolled in the School-Age Enrichment program, per request, they can be matched with a pre-qualified Big Brother or Big Sister. A healthy breakfast and snack is included in your daily rate as well as transportation to and from school.

Offers help and empowerment for women to live to their fullest potential through life coaching and referrals.

Offers library services including book, ebook, audio book, movie, comic, and music loan; educational databases; public computers, access to wi-fi, and Internet; programs for adults and children; story time and arts and crafts; and summer reading programs. Serves as a warming/cooling center during periods of extreme cold/heat.

Summer Camp runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, includes breakfast, lunch and a snack each day. All activities and trips are included in the cost.

A school-based mentoring program. It is highly supervised by the professional staff of Big Brothers Big Sisters on-site at participating schools. The target population is elementary and middle school children, adaptable to meet the requirements of a particular school district. The program works in conjunction with school district officials to improve a child’s academic performance, self-confidence, respect for others & their cultures, and relationships with peers & adults.
