Operates an outpatient community mental health clinic. Services include individual and group therapy, mental health evaluations, medication management, on-site and mobile psychiatric rehabilitation services, and a wellness program to bridge the gaps between mental and physical health care.

Provides adult and child/youth psychiatry services, adult psychological evaluations, and medication management.

You will meet privately with a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in helping individuals with mental health problems. You will discuss, with your psychiatrist, your concerns and review the difficulties you are experiencing. You will receive a comprehensive evaluation to determine if medications could help to alleviate some of the symptoms you are experiencing. If medication is recommended, you are free to accept or decline the psychiatristâs recommendation. If you decide to take medications, the psychiatrist becomes a member of your treatment team and will meet with you on a regular basis to monitor your progress and facilitate your recovery. You may also meet with a nurse who will work closely with the psychiatrist to monitor your progress. You will continue to receive other PATH services that are recommended by your treatment team.

The WCU Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) is affiliated with the West Chester University Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) Program. We are a training center for doctoral students in the PsyD Program providing high quality and low cost Psychotherapy and Testing for the community. Student Clinicians are supervised by licensed psychologists and serve children, adolescents and adults from all backgrounds. We provide general mental health services and specialize in trauma-related disorders and child & adolescent mental health. Services include, but are not limited to the following: Acute Inpatient Behavioral Health, Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Treatment, Mobile Medication, Assertive Community Treatment Teams, Supported Employment, and a variety of other recovery-oriented services such as Psychiatric Rehabilitation, and Clubhouse and Peer services. Multiple residential and housing options are available as well for those who meet the criteria.

Triage provides a rapid therapeutic assessment and limited psychiatric evaluation. This services will determine level of treatment. Assessments with therapist are available as a walk-in clinic. Psychiatry appointment are usually available within 2 day and 2 weeks.

Offers services designed to support individuals and families with relationship concerns, parenting challenges, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, and anger management. Services include: psychiatric evaluations, medication management, medication monitoring for children and adults, and counseling. Cognitive Processing Therapy may be available for adults to help reduce symptoms of PTSD after experiencing a variety of traumatic events.
