Offers a carriage driving program. The horse and carriage provide many of the same benefits as riding.

Offers treatments such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which offers clients a nontraditional approach to therapy. This therapy combines a licensed mental health professional, a certified equine specialist, and a therapy horse to create a research-based treatment model which strives to resolve emotional difficulties caused by disturbing, difficult, or frightening life experiences. The horse is an integral part of treatment because horses are prey animals and therefore are extremely alert and sensitive to the emotions of those around them. Clients learn to identify their own emotional state by observing the reaction from the horse. The horse also helps the client stay grounded as the client processes past traumas.

Offers a program that allows for each client to be assigned to a horse for the duration of their stay to ensure each client's needs are matched appropriately with a horse that will allow them to be successful in equine activities. While learning to ride and care for a horse, a client can learn to increase their attention and focus, sensory perception, communication skills, emotional vulnerability, confidence, and self-esteem. The horse activities are taught and supervised by our highly–trained Ranch staff and therapeutically processed with Malibu’s Clinical staff.

Offers educational therapeutic riding, therapeutic carriage/cart driving, hippotherapy, equine experiential learning, and an inclusive summer camp. Provides accessible equine-assisted services to individuals of all ages with physical, developmental, and behavioral challenges, as well as those who have experienced trauma.
